    Not happy

    • Written by from riverside

I HATE THESE EARBUDS!!!!!! They are the most uncomfortable and oddly shaped earbuds ever!!! I had to use them since one of the speakers blew out on one side of my urbeats that I had. Every time I put these on I have to figure out which way do they go on (since of the stupid shape of the bud itself) and I always have to adjust it so then I could hear the sound all the way. Not to mention that my urbeats had rubber on the outside and they were the most comfortable when I put them on but when I put on these since there's no rubber or soft part on the outer side it's just only plastic and the plastic rubs the skin on the inside of my ears and it hurts badly. The only thing that Is positive about these is that they do have a control on the cord to change your songs and stuff like that. Sorry apple it's think it's time for an update now even with iOS 8 and the new iPhone coming out soon you should take this consideration of updating these earbuds

    Lame! Ouch!

    • Written by from phoenix

These are just terrible! They hurt and they don't stay in place. Came with my iPod and tried wearing them but as previously stated, they slip and fall out (and that's just while sitting at my desk - imagine what'll happen when at the gym).

One ear pod always seems to break.

    • Written by from Wells

I've had two pairs of these now, and both pairs have had one of the pods get damaged somehow.

I'm fairly gentle with them, and I only use them at work so it's not like I'm blaring music through them. I'm usually only at about 1/4th volume on my phone. After about a month with both pairs, one of the pods (Right one on the first pair, left one on the second pair) loses most of its sound. I have checked my sound settings on my phone, but it's not that, because they don't work properly on any device. I'm very disappointed with these.

Steve Jobs wouldn't have let this slide. RIP

    Handset of the worst quality

    • Written by from SANTOS

Had never purchased an Apple product, however so much talk that the quality is unquestionable, superior to others, earlier this year bought an ipod 7th generation, paying a much higher than similar, MP3 or MP4 product price.
I found a really amazing device, but that did not come with controls on the headset, even considering the price.
So, I bought this headset with control and it lasted less than three months, less than 20 days of use, and have an above average care with my things especially with guys like this.
So, what I have to say is that in any way the price charged by Apple explains its quality which is surely less than the other products on the market such as Sony, Philips and other less significant.
    Apple never again.

This are possibly the worst EarPods that I've tried and in my 55 years I've tried a lot.
Sound is great but the fit could not be worse

You would think buying a high end smartphone like the iPhone 5s, apple would at least produce a decent pair of headphones. These EarPods were made for dwarfs!!! The cord is hella waaay too short for the average person when you got your phone in your pants pocket making them pop out constantly and tugging on your ear. Garbage...do not buy!!!!

AVOID - they always fall out!

    • Written by from Hook

These don't fit - they are nowhere near. The earpods (like those with the iPhone 5s) simply drop out of the ear even when sitting still! Due to the super-poor fit the sound quality is terrible too.

    Not comfortable, stopped working <3mo

    • Written by from Seattle

I am extremely gentle with my electronics, so it was a big surprise when my earbuds stopped working in less than 3 months. To add to the insult, the earbud that stopped working did not fit into my ear very well, so it was already an annoyance. I have never been happy with Apple's earbuds, and I have had multiple iphones, ipods.

    Extremely uncomfortable

These, as well as the previous set I had, are extremely uncomfortable. They will not stay in my ears. The sound is horrible. Come on, Apple. You can do better.

Does not fit my ears - very uncomfortable

    • Written by from Pittsford

I got those with my iphone 5s. They are unusable because they don't fit my ears. I have to really push them into my ears so that they dont slip out. However, that makes them too uncomfortable to wear for a long time. The sound is not that good either. I stick with my Samsung ear pads. They have nice rubber pads and sound MUCH better.

Earpods work for ears with BIG BIG canals

    • Written by from Plainsboro

Most of the sound seems to come through the apertures on the side of the pods. however when I insert these into my ears the side apertures are blocked by ear canal walls. I have big ears & relatively big canals and never had any issues with any ear phones so far until this one.

I need to turn up the volume completely and insert the ear pods with side rotated upwards to get audio to levels that are just audible. But then they keep falling off.

Apple - i am quite disappointed.

    Poor design

    • Written by from Grand Haven

I would love to see the designer that came up with the new design try to wear these things without them falling out of his/ her ears. Not good at all. Original earbuds are way better.

    The worst

    • Written by from Brooklyn

These headphone are standard issue w/ all apple products. If you are lucky it will last a couple of months. If you are extremely lucky maybe even a year. If I purchase a $300 phone or better yet a $2000 computer I would hope the headphone provided would last a decent amount of time. But then the shelf life of an apple isn't long so I shouldn't expect that much from your products.

They were uncomfortable in my ears and they didn't actually fit nicely as i have kind of small ears, i tried just putting up with them but they gave me a blister on my ear because they didn't fit well. Please bring back the old earphones.

    Just Not Worth The Money

    • Written by from Norman

I bought these things back in mid-February. It's been two months and the right EarPod is dead.

Two. Months. At $15 a month, that's not even as good as some of the cheap third-party in-ear buds.

Don't waste your money; just go to your local big box store and get some cheap ones there and you'll already have saved money.
