    Still fall out

These earpods are no better than the previous ones. In fact because they're a little heavier they fall out of my ears even easier! The sound may be better but if they won't stay in your ears what good is that? Another 30 bucks down the drain!

Not what they seemed from video and reviews.

From the video and most of the reviews I thought I was buying a good product. When sitting still they weren't bad, I guess. The sound quality is pretty solid, I didn't have them long enough to use the mic.

If I moved at all, either walking or turning my head from side to side, I could feel them start to loosen their grip on my ears and then eventually fall out after just a few seconds.

    $30? No thank you.

    Good at first

I got these headphones at first they fit really well and sounded pretty good but they they started making cracking noises in my ears after maybe 2 months and now the right ear doesn't work and I was extra careful with them because I know how cheap the wires for apple are and they still didn't last more than 3 months..

    Fantastic Sound-Poor Fit

The sound quality will blow you away, but, the fit for me was so bad, that I returned them the same day I bought them. They slipped out of my ears constantly, just by walking. I truly hated to return them, because the sound was so fabulous. I have gone back to the most comfortable earbuds for me, the Apple In Ear. Also, fabulous sound. Wish these had been a good fit for me though.

I'm disappointed in the Earpods, I don't understand why there are so many 4 and 5 star reviews of these things. I got mine free with my iPhone 5 but still went out and replaced them almost immediately. They won't stay in because of the slippery plastic finish, just like the previous iteration. Not understanding if Apple just wants to let the aftermarket deal with headsets but I spent another $75 for a Sennheiser replacement with much better stay-in-ear design.

    Degraded sound quality

This "new" version of earpods are way worse than the previous ones.
Not only they are not comfortable to use, they fall off of your ears all the time. But WORSE of all .. the quality of the sound is unacceptable: poor.

    DOESN'T LAST!!!!

These earbuds are great in sound quality and yes they do stay in......maybe it's your ears, but no these are good. The reason why I gave these two stars because these do not last...I bought these about two months ago and now I can't even hear the sound from the right earpod. What happened???!!!
    Sound: great
    Durability: not so good
    Price: meh
Overall: sound is good, but be prepared to get new ones within two-three months of usage

    They hurt my ears

I agree with the other review about them being painful to wear, I love the features of the remote and the sound is great but they hurt, they are hard and irritate my inner ear. I am so sad that they are not what I expected. If they had a soft rubber coating they would fit more comfortable. Also, when I move my head they fall out very easily...very frustrating. Looking for something similar but have the soft rubber I ear tips.

    Let down

The sound is fantastic but I was very disappointed to have them fall out of my ears at any slight head movement. I've always had troubles finding earphone to fit my small ears and was excited to hear that Apple's new earphones where designed to fit most ears.... not mine. They fit just like any other earphones I've tried in the past. Resorting back to my old clip-on style ones... what a let down.

Will not stay in my ears

I have a hard time with finding an earbud that will stay in my ears and this version is the worst yet. However, the sound quality is much better so I gave it 2 stars.

    To hard!

The Apple earpod sound is incredible, however the Plastic My is uncomfortable. I suggest Apple to keep the design & make it a little more flexible, add a silicon layer. the plastic is simply dated, It's just to hard.

    still don't fit my ears

I was hoping new design would stay in my ears but no luck on that front. They continually fall out especially when walking or exercising.

    Great quality, painful to use

I bought the EarPods for my mom around Christmas to replace her old pair from her Ipod. She started to complain that her ears hurt from the design of the earpiece so I decided to try them for a week.

We both agree the sound quality is much better than the old earphones. The EarPods stay in place MUCH better than the old earphones when walking and jogging, but after a while, reinsertion of the earpiece into the ear hurts! It seems to be more painful in my right ear than the left. I may have small ears but for spending $30 on a new pair of earphones, it is disappointing that I cannot be fully satisfied with my purchase.

I have a Macbook, Ipod Touch and old Nano and I have always been an extremely satisfied customer of Apple products, but the EarPods have been a big disappointment.

Not What I Was Expecting At ALL

The sound quality is amazing but they keep on falling out of my ears when im lying down, sitting, or even when im watching a funny video and i start smiling. Also they always hurt my ears and sometimes I cant believe I paid $35.00 for them when I probably shouldve only paid at most $15.00- $20.00.
Based on sound quality, I like these ones better.
Based on fit and comfort, I like the old ones WAY better!

    Good sounds quality, TERRIBLE fit

I was actually impressed with the sound of these headphone...that is until they continually fell out of my ears. Slight, gloss white headphones that simply sit in your ear. As soon as I move my head, neck, legs or big toe, they fall out of my ears.

These can't be the best Apple can produce. They are going back tomorrow!

    Bad Fit, but Good Sound

They do have a better sound but they are super hard to insert into my ear, compared to the earbuds. I feel that they are too big for my ear because they make my ears sore after only a few minutes of wearing them. 2 Stars because I feel the fit is the most important part.

Good sound, terrible build quality/plug wiring

I just destroyed my 2nd pair in 2 months. The sound is great for the price (my other headphones are Westone UM2s, so I expected much less from these), but the jack plug is flimsy and unprotected. With both pairs, the controls stopped working quickly, and then the right ear started cutting out. Wiggling the cable demonstrates the issue is in the plug.

No doubt the correct Apple approved response to 2 sets of broken headphones is to get hip surgery so the action of walking doesn't cramp the top of my iPhone in a design-incompatible way. I accept that Apple can't be held responsible for humans being the wrong shape for their products, but I think maybe others who also can't afford the elective surgery might benefit from my words of warning: if you buy these, remain perfectly motionless at all times whilst using them.

Good sound, lousy (loosey fit), short cable

    The Good:
Sound is much improved over the previous version of the included headset, especially the mids and bass. Because of the sort-of ergonomic design you must put the left earbud into the left ear and the right into the right ear.

    The Bad:
The earbuds tend to be easily pulled out of the ear, they may even fall out on their own for some people as the fit feels very loose on me and the hard plastic is smooth with no grip to stay in.

Once again the cable is too short. It's the same length of the previous earbuds that came with the iPhone 4/4s. Apple needs to stop being cheap and make them at least six inches longer so they don't yank out of the ears when put into pants/shorts pockets. Other earbuds I buy are at least a six to 10 inches longer.

Packaging is sub-par Apple standards. Is difficult to open without a knife, seems wasteful with the kind of stiff clear plastic that wants to cut your fingers with sharp edges. Would have been nicer to just have a paper box to hold the product. So much for the famous Apple product packaging beta-testing team.

    The Neutral
The volume/mic control has moved to the right side instead of the left.
