    Nice, but not so nice

    • Written by from Raleigh

The case fits perfectly. It is relatively easy to get off.
The main complaint that I have is that it gets dirty too quickly. I have the beige case and just by sliding it in my pocket, the case becomes dirty on the corners. I have never had a case do that! Unless you plan on holding your phone the whole time you have it with you, I would not recommend this case.

Headphone jack hole too small for Bose

    • Written by from BOYNTON BEACH

I use headphone with my iPhone extensively for listening to music and for talking on the phone using the microphone. I have received complaints from listeners on the other end of phone calls about the quality of the sound coming from the microphone using several models (including Apple Ear Pods.) The only headphone set that has not produced complaints has been one made by Bose for the iPhone.

If Apple would have made the hole for the headphone jack a little larger, I would keep this case. Sadly, I have to return it so I can still use the Bose set.

Not what I expect from Apple

    • Written by from Bonn

Looks good in the store (I bought the brown one). I removed it after a few hours:

    - the beautiful iPhone does not feel good in your hands with this cover: not the texture, not the size, not the weight. Not what I am used to how an Apple product should feel when I touch it. -- (I had an apple bumper for the iPhone 4s, which felt good.)
    - already some signs of use after a couple of hours (and no, my hands were not dirty and I only had it in the pocket of my jacket and my jeans, no dirt or food in there either). Will not take more than a few days until it will start looking ugly.
    - the power button has to be pressed surprisingly hard in order to respond (and still doesn't always respond)
    - and yes, you need to know how to remove it, in order to do just that. I had to get on the internet to look up instructions. A magazine was nice enough to create a short "how-to" movie, because so many people were struggling and asking for help. So, it is a problem.

The ONLY GOOD thing: it does not interfere with UMTS /LTE or WLAN reception -- as some other cases do

Sorry Apple, you could do much better, this is ridiculous for 39 Euro.

I am going back to wearing my iPhone like I believe Steve Jobs would have intended it: au naturelle.

Looks and feels good But some issues

    • Written by from Tempe

The cover feels great to hold with the phone. Below are some Pros and cons
    1) Feels light.
    2) Adds just right volume for comfortable grip. Felt a bit slippery to hold for first 2 days but feels much better after that.

    1) I use Bose MIE2I earphones. The Cover is blocking the pin from entering completely. So have to press a bit harder for that.
    2) Prone to catch Dirt (except the black Cover). Not sure if can be cleaned easily but saw some demo covers in the apple store which had some dirt on the edges.
    3) Bit pricey for the protection it is providing.

    I want to love it

    • Written by from KNOXVILLE

I've been using the brown case since 10/4. Today is 10/8. The case looks terrible. I want to love this case. It looked great and felt great. I've gotten so many compliments on the feel of it and the color until people see it close up. It's filthy and I haven't had it outside and, I wash my hands... I had ordered the beige color and it's acutally in the mail, but I'm going to return it. If the brown gets this filthy in 4 days, I cannot imagine how the beige will look. Beautiful case, amazing feel, wrong material. Sorry guys, this was a miss.

Extremely poorly constructed and borderline junk

    • Written by from Salt Lake City

The problem is that the leather is not constructed to be durable enough to withstand normal use. Unlike the leather used for wallets, keycases, etc. that are tanned and finished to tolerate daily handling, this case looks great for about three days. After that, rather than wearing and becoming more weathered, soft and beautiful like good leather, it frays and collects grime, becoming stained. You will be left with an unsightly piece of garbage that you paid $40 for within a month.

Honestly the best iPhone case I've had. Thin and smooth, not to mention the black looks beautiful on my white iPhone 5S

Headphone and Aux Cords will not fit!!!

    • Written by from Flowood

I was pumped about the case. I bought the light brown and it looked great. Walked to my car from the Apple store and tried to plug in my car Aux cord, didn't fit. Tried my headphones, didn't fit. Walked back in the Apple store and tried every aux cord they had, none fit. I'm a huge Apple fan, but seriously. . . who tested this and gave it the thumbs up??? Not to mention my 30 pin to Lightning cord doesn't fit.

Great fit, and no gaps around buttons.

    • Written by from JEFFERSON

Although a bit pricey, this case fits better than any of the after-market cases. I love the way the buttons are 'part of the case'. It eliminates the dust and dirt which would collect in those areas when using a different case.
The case adds very little extra bulk to the phone, but adds a lot of gripping power which makes it easier to grab from a countertop, etc. Easily slides into my front jean pocket, and easy to retrieve.
    Highly recommend!

My iphone, covered, beatifully, for a few days at least...

    • Written by from High Wycombe

As the tagline goes, "You're covered. Beautifully." That is until you place your new-by-a-week blue leather case on a glass hotel table, not realizing there was a grease spot from someone's food and voila! My iPhone is indeed covered, beautifully, with grease-stained leather! Buyer beware' the case is harder to keep clean than your glass-and-metal iphone! And at around £35 I was not impressed with this case's ability to pick up more grease than a car mechanic!

Looks good but quality is terrible!

    • Written by from Toronto

Bought the light beige, fits great and looks very nice. BUT I held phone with dirty hands and went to clean the case...I took a damp soft cloth to clean off the dirt AND THE COLOR PAINT CAME RIGHT OFF! The painted coating is super cheap!!!
I can understand scuffing a case by dropping it etc. But to have the color come off with a gentle wipe is pathetic. At $45 I expect a better product.

    Didn't feel like leather

    • Written by from MONTGOMERY VILLAGE

although I have no doubt that the materials and craftsmanship are tops, if someone told me it was simply made from compressed cardboard, I'd believe that over leather. I was hoping that it would have a slightly tacky feel being leather but it has more of a slippery hard cardboard feel in the hand. I also felt that it being leather might make it prone to staining if my hand was dirty or accidentally placed on an unclean surface.
It is a very tight fit for the phone and I wonder how it would stand-up to being removed numerous times.

    The Brown is Just Okay

    • Written by from Seattle

From a strictly functional view, this case does the job. It protects the phone from dropping and the texture from the leather aids in grip. it does not add bulk to the phone and other than the silent switch, speaker grill and earphone plug, it protects the phone from contiamients. From an asthetic point of view, the brown is a nice natural color. The case is also designed to allow the silver or gold edges to show as well. However, from longevity stand point, the case does not old up. After a week, it is lookingp dingy. A while I am glad the case protected my phone from damage (cosmetic and functional), the leather tore easily when I acidently dropped my phone when it got snagged coming out of my pocket. I therefore recommend black over the brown.

    Good looking but lacking quality

    • Written by from Vancouver

This case looks absolutely stunning out of the package but after using it for only a week, it looks terrible. the edges wear off very quickly and the case easily goes out of its shape. I did not expect a quality this low from apple!

Great case -- plus removal trick

    • Written by from Columbia

First, many people here have criticized that the case is hard to take off. It's not--you just need to spend a few moments learning how to do it. The trick is that you need to smartly work both bottom corners. Hold the phone with a bottom corner facing straight up ^ and pop it from both sides. Then do the same to the other corner. Once both sides of the bottom are popped, work one side just a little more. The phone is out. No problem.

When you're putting the case back on, slide it in from the top so the bottom two corners are the last ones in, and push.

If Apple hadn't made the case so snug, it would not hold on if you dropped your phone toward the front. it wouldn't be as protective.

I have both the black and PRODUCT (RED) cases, and switch between them. They feel great, add surprisingly little thickness, and always get compliments.

You want this case. You need this case. You'll be very happy with this case.

    Red & Black Cases Rock

I have both cases. The Red is super slick. Actually love the fact the Red show wear and dirt...makes it mine and gives it a distinctive look. The results is a natural weathering process. Fantastic!

The brown leather wears so easily. I have had this case for about a week now and I am very disappointed in the wear of it. I love the size but now it makes my phone look as if it has went through a war.

    Sleek but...

    • Written by from Winter Springs

Love the new leather case. It almost feels as if there isn't a case at all on the phone which I welcome because most cases add way too much bulk.

With that it is so very hard to remove. If you plan on leaving it on long term, go for it. If you're needing to remove the case for docking, etc. probably want to make a different choice. Although I must say I love it so much it is worth the struggle to remove it.

I've also been over cautious with setting the phone down because of the leather. Always worried if the surface is wet or not. I have the case roughly a week and already there is one little dot (stain) that's driving me crazy!

I purchased the RED one. Really love the case overall. I'm going to get the saddle tan one because I think that color will wear naturally and look good even if it is worn and stained.
