I've seen this question on other threads without a true fix. I have a 2018 Macbook pro currently on Monterey 12.2.1. When clicking a device to share, airdrop freezes and won't work until the finder force quits and reopens. The pattern seems like I can airdrop 2 separate times and then the freeze happens. Does the iPhone keep a log of images sent/received from/to another phone or laptop via airdrop ? I read somewhere that this data is available in the sysdiagnose info in the phone, but only for upto 2 weeks.
