A simple tip calculator with several options. Its most unique feature is a checksum generator that will help you quickly detect tip fraud or errors in your bill. I know, one more thing to worry about! TippyTops can adjust your tip until the grand total creates a checksum. When you’re looking at your bank or credit card statement later, you can confirm the checksum by adding up all the digits to the left of the decimal point and dividing by ten.

The remainder is equal to the right-most digit. So, if your grand total is $129.42, your bill checks out. If the amount is miskeyed or altered to $139.42, you can quickly see on your bank statement that 1 + 3 + 9 does not equal 2. Don’t forget to save your copy of the receipt, or at least take a picture of it. Runs very quickly, even over EDGE.
