About PodFinder
Using iTunes as a Podcatcher is a good idea, but what to do, if neither a Mac nor iTunes is in reach? German Macintosh news site mackauf’s PodFinder is the answer!

From today on there’s a new service avaiable at http://mackauf.de/podfinder/ for german audience: Favoured and well-known german (video-)Podcasts can be viewed directly via the Webapp with every iPhone or iPod - the annoying detour via Mac or iTunes is unnecessary. And just like it has to be with a proper webapp for Apples little multitalents, there is a handy icon for your homescreen as well. With this, the PodFinder fits perfectly into the surrounding of iPhone and iPod touch.

At the moment eleven categories from news and reports onto the up to date weather forecast – there are already many Podcasts waiting for you - and their number increases daily. The User can either navigate through the menus or search specificly for individual podcasts. In addition, the indicated choice of Podcasts can be cut down to only video- or only audio-Podcasts.

This way every iPhone or iPod touch with WLAN-access can almost become a TV: Watch the current version of the german newsbroadcast “heute Nachrichten” or the “Tagesschau in 100 seconds” - with our new service PodFinder.
