About The Webreportage GEO
A new form of report, a transmedia approach that goes deepthly through the information.

The topic is treated:
- horizontally: through a special tone/angle, using a diversity of media ( video, pictures, text, sound , music…) in the report
- vertically through the deep links used to go deeper into the topic
For each film sequence , there are 5 diverse and complementary links to disciver all hidden aspects of the topic : Complementary Information (In depth information videos), Proofs documents (Real authentical pieces of material), Making of (interviews of journalists, backstage), Music selection (a selection of the best music that illustrate the atmosphere of the report), Web selection (bests sites that refer to the topics).

The first webreportage GEO was launched on October 12, 2007 in web version on geomagazine.fr, and on November 29, 2007 in version developed specifically for iPhone . Webreportage GEO for iPhone is the first journalistic site of report in French taking advantage of the functionalities of this new telephone. The first webreportage GEO’s subject is “Kidnapping in Mexico City”
