ANZ Mobile Banking
About ANZ Mobile Banking
In August 2008, the ANZ (Australian and New Zealand) bank successfully released its customized iPhone Mobile Banking solution for Australian-based retail customers.
The release allows Apple iPhone and iPod Touch users to:
- View accounts and transactions
- Transfer funds between their accounts; and
- Pay anyone.
ANZ is the first bank in Australia to offer this service.
The new simple and user-friendly interface has allowed Apple iPhone and iPod touch owners to conveniently do their Internet Banking on the run. ANZ’s current Internet Banking has been given a new “look and feel” on the devices which have been tailored to enhance the natural user friendly features of the popular devices.
The new solution uses the existing Internet Banking framework as a foundation. Utilizing the existing backend the team has been able to tweak the screens and interaction to suit the much vaunted Apple experience. The new 3G Apple iPhone was launched in Australia too much fanfare in mid-July and the project re emphasis ANZ’s ambition to make banking simple and convenient for everyone.
