About CardOCR
This is a server side web application that allows people to upload name cards as JPEG files. It then allows these images to be filled up with information which can then be searched from the Web or iPhone. With this web based system, there is very little need to keep the name cards that you have received again as you would be able to search the information by categories, tags/Notes or just by visual similarities.

The internal visual recongition and OCR system removes the need for you to explicitly tag the cards before they become searchable.

The main features when accessed using a computer includes the ability to:-
- Upload, process and view multiple name cards in a single JPEG scan. Each card will be processed based on a defined crop area.
- Auto rotate portrait cards if scanned in landscape.
- OCR the card internally, though not viewable, for immediate search-ability and text recognition
- Create categories
- Edit and enter specific details of the card
- Upload photos to assist in the identification of the name card
- Ability to search the name cards by visual similarities, thus eliminating the need in over-categorizing the name cards
- Generate VCARDs for easy import into address books
- Generate 2D Data Matrix for easy transport of VCARD contents
- Many more features
