The Comcast Bite of Seattle is a three-day culinary festival, which takes place each July at Seattle Center. The Bite features restaurants of both the esteemed and mom-and-pop variety, food-related companies selling favorites and unveiling new products, a wine and jazz area, eight entertainment stages, live cooking demonstrations featuring Seattle’s most well-known chefs, and much more. Highlights include The Alley Hosted by Tom Douglas (a fundraiser for Food Lifeline), the Just a Bite area where foodies can go easy on both their waistlines and their wallets, and 2010 new-addition Green Bites, which highlights restaurants and companies adhering to sustainable business practices. Free admission, plenty of activities for kids and an abundance of arts and crafts to browse makes this Seattle summer tradition a perfect- and tasty- way to spend the weekend!
