About Thunder and Lightning
Tells you how far you are from lightning! Because light travels faster than sound, you see it then you hear it.

Using the amount of time between the seeing lightning and hearing thunder, you can calculate how far you are from the lightning.

This application does it for you. Tap when you see lightning…tap when you hear thunder and it automatically calculates the distance to the lightning.

Or if you like to count…you can enter the seconds between when you see lightning and hear the thunder. Then press calculate and it will tell you how far you are in miles from the lightning.
