Assignments, materials and study notes all work together in the iTunes U app to keep students prepared for lessons and engaged in learning.
Assignments with due dates let students keep track of homework and
tick off completed assignments within the course.
Student can access resources and materials at any time. And when a teacher points to a specific chapter in a book or start and stop point of a video, it opens directly to that place from the iTunes U app.
Students can take notes on videos, books and even live lectures,
and all the notes will be compiled together in the course.
With iTunes U courses, you can add to and update your course at any time, so your lessons stay relevant. And automatic push notifications get sent through the app to keep students informed of changes and updates.
The iTunes U app lets students enrol on a course and download all the materials they need when they are connected to Wi‑Fi — which means learning and studying can happen anywhere, at any time, with just an iPad.
No matter where in the world you teach, or which year group, iTunes U courses let you teach a topic the way you know works best for your students.
To add content to your course, start by creating a post in your outline.
Then fill in the assignment and attach the associated materials.
Add apps, videos, books and more to your course. Search content across all of iTunes straight from the iTunes U app, upload photos from your Camera Roll or add documents directly from iWork.
When you create a private course, your students can ask you questions or have
discussions within the course on any post or assignment outside of class time.
Teachers can collaborate on course creation, management, and enrolment with up to five course contributors — like department heads, teaching assistants or curriculum developers. You can also transfer your current course to another teacher, complete with the existing student enrolment. Or just offer inspiration by sharing a copy of your course — the outline, posts, assignments and materials — to help others get started.
