Can I ask Siri to play radio stations that *aren't* on Apple Music? (e.g. "Play BBC Radio 2")
I am thinking of replacing my Amazon Echo with a HomePod but I want to be sure the HomePod can do what I want it to.
I have an Amazon Echo and every morning I ask it to "Play Radio 2" or "Play Virgin Radio" and it will play those radio stations. I can't seem to do this with Siri on my iPhone, so assume I won't be able to do it on the HomePod either. I don't want to use Airplay for this.
Is anyone doing this successfully?

Via AirPlay from an iPhone, iPad or Mac using a radio player like TuneIn. From the autumn ios13 will add multiple radio stations to the HomePod so you can play them direct like you can with Alexa on an Echo.

Short answer is no. But what I have done is create a shortcut on my iPhone to play radio 2. With one tap you can set media output to your HomePod, and play Radio 2 from the BBC sounds app. It is how I convinced my wife to let me have one and now she loves it!

In the UK, HomePod will currently play Beats 1 plus Global’s radio stations:
* Heart Radio
* Capital Radio
* Capital Xtra
* LBC Radio
* Classic FM
* Smooth Radio
* Radio X
* Gold Radio
Plus it can play news podcasts:
* BBC News
* Sky News
* LBC News

It won't play directly but you can play them via the app on another Mac device via airplay. For example if you are playing Radio 2 on your MacBook connect to the HomePod and it will play
