I have 2 Thunderbolt Monitors that have USB and Thunderbolt 2 cables. Can I connect those 2 displays to this dock and then use both monitors?

I have a 2019 MacBook pro, and 2 older Thunderbolt Display monitors that have both USB and Thunderbolt 2 cables. Can I plug both monitors into this hub so they can be used with my MacBook through USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) cables?

  • Yes! You can connect one of the Thunderbolt 2 monitors to a Thunderbolt 3 port on the TS3 Plus with use of the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. From here, simply daisy chain one Thunderbolt 2 monitor into the other.

  • Assuming you're talking about Apple monitors, if your monitor has a USB cable, then it *isn't* a Thunderbolt Display, those are mini-DisplayPort.
