Will this damage my phone battery if I connect the USB-c end to my 87w laptop block and the other end to my iPhone 6s?

  • No because your phone should only “ask” for a safe amount of current that won’t ruin the battery. For instance some usb-c cables only support 18W power delivery for iPhones but 30W for ipads. Your phone will not let an amount of current that is not safe into your battery.
