Are these waterproof? Drop proof?
Background: these look awesome. But I take my phone with its leather case everywhere. In bath, rain, etc. will this cAse make my iPhone X more vulnerable? Is it just as strong as my iPhone?

I believe that the case with your iPhone will not be harmed if it is dropped into bath water. The battery is completely sealed in silicone. The only place where water might affect the case is the lightning port on the outside of the case and the inside lightning plug that inserts into the lightning port of your iPhone. Since your XR, XS, and XSM are water resistant to 50m, the water should not harm your iPhone. If you drop your Iphine with smart battery case into your bath water, you should take it out of the water, remove the iPhone from the case, wash the case in clean water, dry the lightning plug on the inside, use tissues to wick out moisture in the lightning port to prevent corrosion, and dry the microfiber lining of the case.
The case encloses the iPhone except for the glass face, the back lens, the left side switch for muting your phone, and holes at the bottom for the speakers. There is a 2mm lip around the glass face. The corners are covered with at least 2-mm thick silicone. I have used my XR in the smart battery case for about a month and I have not yet dropped it, which is an interesting observation in itself. The silicone case is not slippery and it does not easily slip out of your fingers or pockets, Some people have suggested that the silicone attracts dust and grease, i don’t think so. The silicone itself has a slightly “greasy” feel in that is smooth but provides friction at the same time. This is the way silicone feels. It does not attract dust or dirt. I think that thise is one of the more protective cases for the iPhone and it does not show the wear and tear like leather does.

I think it is not. On the operating manual they recommend in case of wet or liquid to disconnect and dry.
