Will my steel series 3 gaming headset work with the dongle?
Can anyone help me with resolving the issue of not detecting headphones for my iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2018 edition. I play PUBGm for long hours and it seems that the airpods run out of charge too fast and I have to wait in between two games to charge the airpods. For this reason I bought a wired headset from Steel Series along with LANMI USB-C to 3.5mm from Amazon, and it did not work for me. I’m wondering whether this adaptor will work with my iPad as so many reviews here say it have issues with wifi and even clicking sound. Is it a software bug or iPad pro 2018 physically cannot accept any wired headphone connections? Can someone help me on how to use a gaming headset from steel series on my ipad.

I own iPad Pro 11, playing PUBGm too:) Had a trouble to connect my HyperX Cloud gaming headphones with this adapter at first. Nothing happening , only the clicking sound. Other, smaller earbuds were working with this adapter out of box,no problem at all. After several attempts I’ve realised the sequence how to make it working: 1 plug usb-c 3.5mm adapter to the iPad pro 2 slowly connect headphones to adapter 3 repeat section 2 if no success ( make sure you connecting headphones slowly ) I believe what happening here is some power/impedance restriction....My gaming headphones running at 30 mW power and Impedance: 30 Ω It is probably at the edge what this adapter could support ( Apple gives ZERO information about this adapter specifications unfortunately) When I was trying to connect HypeX cloud headphones to iPad Pro with the adapter already attached to them,I’ve never had a success . Adapter goes to iPad first, gaming headset after. There is no difference if you have small headphones you could attach to iPad in any order you like ,they will work . But if you have some GOOD ,expensive headphones with Impedance higher than 35Ω you probably won’t be able to run with this adapter. SteelSeries 3 are headphones with Impedance 32Ω,i believe they should work with this adapter if you’ll use sequence I’ve described earlier.

You will need to use the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Adapter, to connect your Steele Series 3 headset to an iPad Pro. You should be able to hear audio output with other products, but the microphone input will only work with their product.
