can you bring this case with you when travelling on an aircraft?

The TSA limit is 100 watt-hours. And in most cases, the airlines will allow spare lithium-ion batteries up to 160-watt hours. Therefore you should be fine taking this case on an airline, however, TSA may question you about the case but again to my knowledge this case falls below the 100 watt-hour limit.
