does this work with the Mercedes media connection

the Merceded in question is a 2011 e250.
the media connection is located in the glove box.

    I tried it with M-Class Command APS 50 (Edition 2009) with Multimedia-Kit for IPOD with the 30 PIN cable + lighning adapter and the ipod touch 5g wasn't recognized.
    I tried with the USB cable input, too but it didn't work either.
