Will the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter accept input from a USB microphone, such as the Rode NT-USB, on an Ipad Pro with USB-C input?
We are attempting to setup a simple video recording studio for creating YouTube videos using the iPad Pro and a USB microphone. The new Rode USB mic is highly rated and affordable; two very nice combinations. People report that the microphone works on iPads with the lightning plug, but not the iPad Pro USB-C, though they don't explain their setups.

Does it support 2560x1440 at 60Hz and 2560x1440 at 144Hz? Old version of this adapter didn't support that.

Will this adapter allow me to extend my display?
Description says I can mirror my screen, but can I also extend it? In order to have two windows open simultaneously or divide my window in tools/work space for apps that support it?

Does this adapter support multi-channel digital audio out of a 2017 iMac18,3 to be plugged into a surround sound receiver for gaming and movies?
I have already purchased 2 third-party adapters for thunderbolt 3 (usb-c) to HDMI, they both send audio and video, but the audio is only stereo. Also when I open System Preferences > Sound > Output I don't see any items with type HDMI, I only see something with type DisplayPort. Do I really have to buy a $70 adapter from Apple to get surround sound?
