So I currently have a USB 3.0 hub that acts as a switch between my Windows machine and my current Ma
Unfortunately no it doesn’t work with the SuperDrive. I really hoped it would and would have bought a second one for my laptop if it did.
1.AC power is optional. USB connection alone in Your computer is perfectly fine.
And maybe the manufacturer thinks that You may want to use it as charging station without the need of data transfer. (That You may require sometimes)
2.Yes.. Power Supply is included.
In addition if You use AC power cable and USB cable to your computer at the same time, it does not affect performance or faults on operation.
But then again what may happen, because of 2 power supply on Your Computer; You may hear a very low Hum during, recording, editing videos or in Your PA system. I had this problem with my audio interface so I remove the AC power during editing or recording. But nothing to worry if Youre not doing this kind of stuff.
hope this helps
The MacBook Pro doesn't have usb connections.
1 dedicated power supply (comes with the box)
1 USB Connection for your computer
I find the power supply very helpful specially I charge a lot of USB devices
I just bought one from the store and tried it - nope, it doesn't charge the Macbook, even when none of the USB ports are in use.
I believe it does. The USB C Cable is the cable needed to connect to the new MacBooks. If you search for Belkin USB 3.0 4 Port Hub, you'll see there's another product which does not have the additional USB C Cable.
One is the power source the other looks like a USB port and the other looks like an HDMI.
