No, but the pencil can be held by a weak magnet to the long edge of the (closed) keyboard so at least you can keep it from rolling away.
The Keyboard does not have a battery at all. It runs off of your iPad battery via the smart connector
I’m interested in purchasing the Smart Keyboard but I need to be sure that it is the right one
Need keyboard for my IPad 6th gen
No, it doesn't have the right connectors. You want a bluetooth keyboard for the 6th gen.
I have a iPad 7th generation which Apple Pencil will work original or 2nd generation
I would like to know what improvements were made and how it differs from the previous version meant for the iPad Pro 10.5 I am trying to justify spending$144 for a new one vs $50 for an old
It is the same exact one, even says so on the box when you buy it.
Im using ipad 5th generation, is this keyboard compatable with it
No, this keyboard is not backlit. If you are looking for backlit offerings for the iPad, check out accessories from Logitech and Brydge.
No, only on the new Ipad (7th Generation), iPad (Air 3), and the iPad (Pro 10.5 inch).
300 grams or 10.5 oz.
The print on the keys should not easily wear off. This version of the keyboard is vastly improved on the first edition of the keyboard that released along with the original iPad Pro in 2017. A joy to type on. Has a unique feel for sure. May take a moment to get used to, but it is enjoyable for long writing sessions or just causal browsing.
No. This uses the smart connector, which connects directly to the iPad to draw power and transfer data, and is only available on the current iPad's (7th gen, Air 3) and Pro models. Any other model can only use bluetooth keyboards.
