    Not a good product

    • Written by Rick G from Richmond

First of all the plastic is soft around the speakers I feel this will tear up soon, and what really did it for me was there is no place for the pencil there is no magnet, no holder nothing, it can sit just above the screen but is not secured.

I will keep for 14 days and try the UAG looks and feels better and it has a pencil holder.

    Almost perfect BUT…

I wanted a very protective case since I saw a video of the ipad bending and that freaked me out. I use my iPad Pro for teaching purposes and sometimes students may accidently drop it or knock it over. I’m pretty confident of the protective nature of the case, so to that aspect, I give a thumbs up.

Also I like the fact the case doesn’t inhibit the pencil charging functionality. It was the only protective case available at the time I purchased my iPad Pro which was able to acieve this. Another plus.

However there is one glaring negative IMHO. My biggest issue is with the weight of the iPad Pro combined with the case. I previously owned the 2nd generation iPad Pro and had a Tech21 case with the apple cover. This combo weighed less than my current tablet and case, although the new iPad Pro by itself weighs less than the old one (a major reason I upgraded). Since I walk around holding the iPad and drawing to demonstrate to my students, this is a really, really big negative for me. Maybe I’ll get used to it, but for now: thumbs down.

At the present time, it’s my only option. Fingers crossed, a lighter more protective case surfaces soon and I will have my perfevt combo

    Nice case but

I have had this case for a few days. I chose this case due to OtterBox reputation and the lack of variety of quality cases. Normally I would not buy this type of case due the folding lid that turn into a stand. On the lowest setting they tend to slip and fall over and are not sturdy, the join where the lid attaches is also a bit flexible for my liking. The rubber cut out at the end for the speakers is also a bit too flexible and could easily snap if young kids were to use the iPad. I do like that it feels & looks like a quality product, it is a nice looking case and the iPad fits in securely therefore it should stay protected. If the lid was one piece I would have given it 4 stars. A choice of other colours would have been nice also.
