    Annoying scrolling behavior

    • Written by Darrin M from FRAMINGHAM

The fast recharge feature works well. When scrolling with 2 fingers it will frequently stop scrolling for a second or two.

    It's "okay"; it works

    • Written by Chad M from Woodland Park

It works. Nothing spectacular over the previous pad. I will say that it requires more frequent charging than the previous; it's quite annoying in this regard. Overpriced for what you actually get out of it.

    good but...

    • Written by Horace A from st-eustache

the magic trackpad is good but, the click and drag can sometimes be a pain especially when using logic pro x. that's my personal take on it!

    Overpriced and limited

    • Written by skylar D from Milwaukee

$129 and cannot even perform the same functions as the MacBook trackpad, what good is it? I am unable to drag and drop AND cannot even find any recent article in support on helping me resolve this issue. Also cannot find anything allowing me to change it in system preferences. Who ever created this did half a job.

    preferences problems

    • Written by Lieuwe W from Dokkum

both the Magic Trackpad 2 and Mouse give problems installing. Both of them will connect, but there is no way of getting to the Settings of either one of them. For both the preferences will give: No Mouse Found, No Trackpad Found, while both are working. I really want the preference access, as many of the gestures are not working with neither one of them

It worked well for a few days but I then found the cursor was left behind my finger movement and I constantly had to correct it. I've now reverted to the mouse. It was fully charged. An expensive trial..

Generally good but with one big bad for me

    • Written by Mark S from Perth

Looks great, feels great and the larger active area is nice. The haptic feedback is perfect really all but impossible to tell there isn't a real physical clicker in it.

Rechargeable battery almost makes it worth the price (saves batteries, don't have to rummage through utility draw for replacements)

Big Bad for me though is that when dragging and dropping more than a few files the whole thing becomes unresponsive.
From 1 to ~40 files its fine, more than that nothing... no animation of the action, no file count indicator, and if you just pretend it's actually happening in the background just carry on the drag and drop the files don't get moved/copied... try again... nothing, and again and again and again, still nothing.
Then maybe a minute or two later it will co-operate and do the action. not the system as the old trackpad still works fine for same operation, disabled most of the functions in the preferences and it still struggles on simple drag and drop operations.
