Everyday sounds can be uncomfortable or annoying. Background sounds help minimise distractions and increase your sense of focus, calmness and rest to the tune of distant rain or ocean waves. If you have strong verbal skills, but your spelling or typing could use an assist, just go to any text field and tap the microphone button on the onscreen keyboard to start dictating. Or activate Dictation through your Keyboard preferences on your Mac to turn your speech to text. Dictation lets you fluidly switch between voice and touch, so you can continue to interact with your onscreen keyboard to move the cursor or insert QuickType suggestions.2 Punctuation like commas, full stops and question marks will automatically be added to your text as you speak.3 And you can even insert emoji into messages using just your voice.4

Lock Screen linking. You can transform how your iPhone looks and functions at the same time by connecting your Lock Screen to your Focus. Swipe to the corresponding Lock Screen to activate a Focus.

Lock Screen suggestions. iOS suggests a relevant set of Lock Screens for provided Focus options, such as a data-rich Lock Screen while you’re using the Work Focus or a photo Lock Screen while you’re using the Personal Focus.

Home Screen page suggestions. iOS suggests Home Screen pages with apps and widgets that are most relevant to the Focus you’re setting up.
