Personal Setup: Terms and Conditions (AU)

If your Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or Apple Watch was purchased within the last 90 days from an Apple Retail Store, at the Apple Online Store or by calling 133-622, you are entitled to a Personal Setup session at the Apple Retail Store. Purchases from a reseller of Apple products are not eligible.

Sessions are subject to availability and are held on a first-come, first-served basis. Personal Setup may include transferring your contacts, setting up your email, showing you how to download apps and customising your new product. Apple does not guarantee the transfer and/or setup of all data, as certain data may not be supported. For instance, Personal Setup does not include transferring photos, music or other digital media. Sessions start promptly and end at their scheduled times. Arriving late to your session may result in its cancellation.

In addition, most Apple software and hardware products include unlimited complimentary phone support for incidents within the first 90 days of product ownership. AppleCare product benefits are in addition to any legal rights provided by Australian consumer law. For details, visit iPod customers receive one complimentary support incident. Complimentary phone support provides support for basic setup, installation, assembly, connectivity, launch or reinstallation (but not data recovery) when your hardware configuration meets the minimum system requirements for the software. Please note that when transferring data between devices there is a risk of data loss, corruption or breach. Therefore, if you request Personal Setup services, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE THAT APPLE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, CORRUPTION OR BREACH OF DATA STORED ON YOUR PRODUCT(S), AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE A SAFE COPY OF YOUR DATA BEFORE BRINGING YOUR PRODUCT(S) TO APPLE FOR SERVICE.
