      Great sound but......

Bought these from Apple, couldn't choose between these and MA600i, Apple assistant said that I had 14 days to return if unhappy so took the plunge. The sound w Bought these from Apple, couldn't choose between these and MA600i, Apple assistant said that I had 14 days to return if unhappy so took the plunge. The sound was amazing and the build quality great, what let then down was the weight, cord and connections, plus length of cable. Sitting on trains etc they were superb but when walking I found the cable bulky to tuck away and the heavy cables kept clunking against the back of my neck. Really sad but I had to take them back and exchange for MA600i, these are much lighter, still excellent sound and haven't had so far quality issues with build. Great support and advice from Apple though

Do Not Buy...They will fall apart.

These headphones sound great but they are garbage. Do Not Buy. I bought mine in Oct 2016 and I have had to replace them twice via the warranty already. These headphones sound great but they are garbage. Do Not Buy. I bought mine in Oct 2016 and I have had to replace them twice via the warranty already. I really thought they were going to be different but they aren't. The first pair I had, the gray sheathing started to pull loose at a few places. This continued until the ground wire was exposed. At that point I only had them a few months so I contacted their warranty replacement team. After giving them a photo of my receipt and the headphones, they sent me a new pair. The next pair lasted about the same time period and the gray sheathing again started to pull away, but this time the stainless steel ear bud also popped apart...only held together by glue. The wire finally snapped and the bud was left unusable. Again I contact the warranty team and they replaced them again. I tried to request the next pair up to avoid these issues, instead they ignored the question until I pressed harder, than they sent me a warranty snippet and said they would be happy to keep replacing them over the next 2.5 years. Nice enough folks...just terribly built headphones.

      Average sound but decent enough

I would say the sound is very average but better than the apple headphones. I guess if you havent had decent headphones in the past then you will think they are good compared to apples headphones but for the money their ok. What really annoys me is the case for storing them, its very poor no thought has been put into this unlike apples headphones where the cord is tidyed away nicely you have to struggle to fit them in the pouch and everytime you take them out they are a spangled mess and no doubt very soon this will lead to internal wire damage on the cables as they are constantly twisted in every direction.

      Let them run in first

I honestly believe the overall review score of the RHA MA750i has been dragged down due to one simple (but elusive) fact: These inner-ears need time to burn in I honestly believe the overall review score of the RHA MA750i has been dragged down due to one simple (but elusive) fact: These inner-ears need time to burn in. A lot of time. This might seem strange but it's true. Straight out of the box the sound might appear a bit underwhelming. Hard, flat, lacking in depth or emotion. Plug them into your iPhone, set the volume to max, and leave them for 24 hours with a song on repeat. Now hear the difference. Once the initial break in has been completed, these are stunning. I’ve never heard a pair of earbuds like them – detail, resolution and soundstaging are incredible for the price. The dozen or so pairs of tips have been included for a reason, fit is crucial to ensure the best sound, so experiment. The bass really deepens with the correct size and you also get the best noise cancellation as well. I’m writing this review listening to some Duke Ellington jazz via Apple Music, a Macbook Air, and a third party USB DAC (digital-analog converter, google them). Bliss. They’re also beautifully engineered and built, and should last years with proper care. Cannot recommend them highly enough, but break them in first!
