Disappointed because of the loud whirring and clicking sound, a bit like a Geiger counter. Combined with the bright and rapidly blinking LED, this drive is distracting. Luckily just using it for backup and can keep it turned off most of the time. I would return it if I had to use it as a primary storage device.

The setup utility was worthless and took me into the Mac OS Disk Utility. since the install sw was Incompatible with the Sierra O/S. I was instructed to format the drive using the Mac disk utility. Following the instructions, I did and it blew away everything on this stupid drive. Never could get the install to work as a result. Spent an hour and half trying. Fed up. Called Apple Customer service and thankfully they allowed me to return this drive. The drive looks like a work of art; but the function is more relevant than the form. Don't waste your time or money.

Broken right out of the box

Hard drive would not spin right out of the box. Not sure what their QA processes are, but that's not acceptable.
