  • Overview

The Belkin USB-C to USB-C Cable (USB 3.1) provides fast data transfer, quick and safe charging, and video for MacBook with USB-C port, MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, and other USB-C hosts and devices — all in one user-friendly, reversible cable. With the Belkin USB-C 3.1 cable there is full 4K functionality between laptop and screen, as well as simultaneous charging for the laptop and simultaneous access to any USB devices plugged in to the monitor. Note: In this configuration with say a hard drive plugged in to the monitor's USB port, you will have full functionality and access from your laptop (laptop to monitor via USB-C and monitor to hard drive via USB); but, throughput will not be optimum as the USB-C is transferring video data as well as hard drive data simultaneously. But that is too be expected with that much traffic on the highway, but everything is plenty fast.

only 1 meter long, wrinkly sheath around it.

Note that this cable is only 1 meter long...quite short for connecting to a power source (I bought it not seeing the small print that this is short & cannot use Note that this cable is only 1 meter long...quite short for connecting to a power source (I bought it not seeing the small print that this is short & cannot use it as I intended). Also, it is a Belkin product, not an Apple product...the cable is thicker than most and wrapped in a somewhat odd plastic sheath that wrinkles and looks funny (function may be fine, but does not have a nice/clean Apple look). For a $30 cable, these were pretty big disappointments.
