      Easy installation and connection to Time Machine

      I purchased two of these G-Technology drives for use in backing up two separate iMacs. I installed them on 1/10/17, so I have no long term use; but can relate t I purchased two of these G-Technology drives for use in backing up two separate iMacs. I installed them on 1/10/17, so I have no long term use; but can relate to the ease of the installation and compatibility with Time Machine. Truly plug (to the iMac USB) and play. The setup for time machine was seamless, and the backups have been as programmed. If Time Machine is already set up on your computer I suggest that you review the G-Technology Manual at g-technology.com that will advise as to how to select the G Tech disk.

      It works by is very SLOW for USB3

      Unbearably slow! I've been waiting for 112GB of photos to transfer for over 3 hours now! My thumb drive was faster than this. Although mind u I and using USB 3
