According to Playstation's website, these are the following requirements to use Remote Play on your Mac:
Mac
A computer with either of the following operating systems.
OS X Yosemite
OS X El Capitan
Intel Core i5-520M Processor 2.40 GHz or faster
40 MB or more of available storage
2 GB or more of RAM
USB port
I don't believe your Macbook Pro will support it.- Answered by Erik S

you may have found out already but no you can not you would need OS X Yosemite OS X El Capitan to use remote play
