its usb 2. You can check on system info -> USB -> USB Tree and there's the iphone with a speed of 480. :/

The cable is stated to be USB 2.0, BUT it will work in a USB 3.0 port. Phone charges and will synch as normal. I have personally noticed a difference in synching speed from a USB 2.0 to 3.0 port. Though user experience will vary.
