  • The main difference, other than size, is the iPad has models that can support Cellular data connections, giving the user the option to connect to the internet when no WiFi connection is available.

  • iPads can run iPhone/iPod apps, as well as apps specifically designed for the iPad. That means that an iPad can run a lot more apps. It also can be operated using gesture, if you like that kind of thing...

  • It all comes down to what apps you need to run. If music is your thing when your out and about the iPod is the clear winner. It has a smaller but better quality screen that is good for running lots of different apps but still slips into your pocket. However, if you want internet access at home, like watching films or want to access documents in the cloud using apps like Pages or Numbers. The bigger screen of the iPad makes sense. It is a nice light alternative to a lap top. So the choice comes down to what do you want to do and where you want to do it.
