can the Apple USB SuperDrive be connected thru the CalDigit TS3 Dock?
I have read that since the usb superdrive requires power it needs to be connected directly to my MacBook Air with a usb to usb-c (thunderbolt) adaptor and does not work when connected thru a hub/dock. Since the CalDigit TS3 Plus Thunderbolt 3 Dock has a power supply, will the usb superdrive work if connected to one of its USB ports?

Is the 2020 Macbook Air able to pass a video signal through the TS3+ downstream Thunderbolt port?
I am trying to connect my 2020 MacBook Air to two 1080p HDMI monitors through my Caldigit TS3+ dock, but I am having difficulty. I am using an active Displayport to HDMI adapter and a USB-C to HDMI adapter. The monitor attached to the active Displayport to HDMI adapter works, but the monitor attached to the USB-C to HDMI adapter does not. It seems like the video signal from my MacBook Air is not being passed through the downstream Thunderbolt port in the TS3+ for some strange reason. However, when I plug the USB-C to HDMI adapter directly into the MacBook Air's Thunderbolt port, it works. This is very odd to me because the exact same TS3+ setup works on my work computer, an old HP Elitebook. That computer is able to drive both monitors through the dock, so I assume that there is nothing wrong with the cables or adapters. Is there an issue with my MacBook Air? I saw that a previous answer said that the CalDigit TS3+ is compatible with the 2020 Air, so I assumed it would be fine.

Can Docking Station Utility behave like Device Manager in WinOS and eject any attached usb item eg game controllers, etc or only storage items?
I have three game controllers connected to rear USB A ports and a flash memory stick connected to the front USB A port. I have downloaded and installed the Docking Station Utility and when I click on the (DSU) icon in the toolbar I am only shown the storage stick with the option to eject but not shown the individual game controllers.

Can the Docking Station Utility (DSU) power-down USB connected items in addition to isolating/ejecting storage drives?
I want to be able to ‘switch off’ items connected via the USB ports without having to physically disconnect them. I appreciate that the DSU can ‘eject’ storage devices to prevent damage to the drive by premature removal, however, that instruction can be carried out by Finder. But Finder cannot ‘eject’ non storage devices; can the DSU do it, in order to avoid having to physically removing the cables? If it cannot do so at present, could CalDigit consider including such capability via a driver/firmware revision?

Could I use this dock with a MacBook Pro (Mid-2015) that has TB2 by using a TB3 to Mini DP cable? Or do I need a TB2 cable + a TB2 to TB3 adapter?
Or could I instead use a USB (Type A) 3.0 to TB3 cable/adapter?
