AnswerNo, it won't work.
The only way you can get a microphone to work on iPhone would be if it plugs in the headphone jack or if it's specifically made for iPhone and plugs into the lightning port.- Answered by Felix L from Compton

Why can't this be used with an Iphone 6?
I'd like to use an external DAC / headphone amplifier with my iPhone 6 but I can't see how to connect it.

Best Answer:This adapter will work with external DAC, as long as DAC is designed to connect to a computer with a standard male USB connector (USB type A). Female USB type A port on this adapter will accept USB cable from DAC. In my experience, externally / self-powered DAC devices work just fine with iPhone 6 and this cable.

Best Answer:You can import photos and videos to an iPad with this adapter, but you will not be able to export them. Some USB drives may require a separate powered USB hub to function with this adapter, as this cable limits the amount of power consumed by a USB device.

Can I use this adaptor to down load pictures from my Sunpak high-speed card reader to my new iPad Mini 2
We have two cameras with 2 different cards. I have used the card reader on my lap-top but want to travel without it. the card reader has a USB plug and I need to get both kinds of cards to transfer to my new iPad Mini 2.

Could this be used as a general usb port like on a computer or is it just for cameras?
This is weird but like a Mac, does is support the USB super multi drive from apple or is there two many problems like (power).

Best Answer:You can plug a very limited number of mass storage devices into this, provided they have enough power (or you use a powered USB hub), and access photos from them. Unofficially, some keyboards, MIDI devices, and microphones also work (dependant on the app).
However, it cannot be used as you would a USB port on a normal computer; ie, with webcams, printers, game controllers, CD drives, etc- Answered by Chris A from Pontefract
