    Battery Problem (4 of last 9 reviews).

    Put this together with 9 year old. As others say, great package, quality and instructions. All fine until you try and turn it on, to encounter unsolvable, oh so frustrating battery problem.
    I was fairly annoyed, I don't get a lot of time with the kids, and to spend so long without the bang at the end, grrrrr. But then I checked reviews here , to find almost half have the exact same problem. This is just completely unacceptable from apple who are selling faulty products and ubtech who are making them.
    Ok, so they will send a replacement, but I have to contact them, wait for delivery, remake the bot, and try and kids engaged in something that was so bitterly disappointing first time around. This is a toy aimed at primary kids to get them excited and interested in robots and programming. To make and sell something like that with a faulty battery is a complete and utter betrayal of the values both companies espouse. I guess someone may have got a bigger bonus by putting a cheaper battery pack in though, so there is an upside.

    Works great AFTER receiving replacement battery!

    Update to previous review:
    Contacted customer support and they were super helpful on the phone and they quickly sent out a replacement battery. The Meebot works perfectly now (as long as you follow the ALL the instructions and build it correctly of course :)

    Needs a working battery thats come new out the box. Won't charge despite all the tips and tricks found online and in support articles. Can't have a new $200 Christmas toy not work after putting it together after 2.5 hrs. Not alone either, lots of forums with customers having issues with the batteries...

    Another faulty battery

    This product is obviously suffering from a lot of faulty batteries to the point that it is the very first question in the FAQs for the product. The solution to take it out for 1-2 minutes and then keep trying a few times. Madness is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
    Very disappointed when you pay this much for a product.

    Cannot even walk in straight line

    MeeRobot cannot walk forward in a straight line. It always veers to the left. It is clearly a software bug that can be fixed through app update. Feedback to UBTECH but they are not doing anything. Disappointed that Apple Store carries such product that fails to even perform basic function correctly. Definitely avoid UBTECH product in future.
