    Never worked once... tried everything-

I never even made it as far as seeing if my ear phones worked.... it never even charged my phone without audio....I was fortunate to have had this happen so soon so i could refund it.

I will try not to gripe too much about Apple- because I keep buying their products regardless of how much they use and abuse their buyers.... they know fully well people will still purchase their product- so that makes ME crazy.

But I will say this: Belkin is awful.... third product I purchased that was overpriced and was faulty from the get go. Where I feel I DO deserve to hate on Apple is the fact that they recommend such an awful product- “the dual charge blocker”

Worked for a week and then suddenly headphone jack no longer worked. I don’t recommend buying this product I’m sure you can find a different one that isn’t as useless as this one.

Bought it was finally happy that i could both, charge and listen to some music at the same time. Doesn’t even work. Bring back normal jacks you get enough money why are you adding more unnecessary stuff to sell?

    Unimpressive solution.

It's clunky, expensive, and I have to turn my iphone8 on/off for the device to work. But I no longer get the "this accessory may not be supported" popup on the phone constantly as I did when I tried a cheaper alternative. Really disappointed this is the direction Apple is pushing customers. I am uninterested in wireless headphones, I miss the simple headphone jack.

    Waste of money.

For one month it worked perfectly. Now it no longer transmits audio, nor does it charge consistently. I’ve tried it both with and without the Apple battery case but the results were the same. Expensive and downright awful. How Apple could recommend this to any customer is beyond me.

Useless junk. Failed on day 1.

I bought this today, opened the box, plugged it in, and my phone flicks from charge to not charge constantly. Vibratingand playing a "dong" noise every second - which obviously runs the battery DOWN.

    Great when it works

This thing was great for around the first 2 months I had it. Audio won’t play through the adapter anymore even though I’ve kept it in good condition. Hopefully mine was just defective!

worked for 6 months, now getting shaky

I had loved this product for the past 6 months, and then about 2 weeks ago it sometimes doesn't seem to want to work at all. If I unplug it altogether and start playing around with unplugging it from my MacBook, then just audio, then plugging the USB back into the MacBook, sometimes that makes it work but sometimes that doesn't work either. Seems like it has a short or something. I called Belkin today and although he had no answer for me at first, once I mentioned that I now have an iPhone 8, he latched onto that and pointed out on their website that it doesn't mention it will support the iPhone 8. Unfortunately it started happening 2 weeks ago, just before I got the iPhone 8, so that definitely isn't the reason. 6 months isn't sufficient for a product that that has no moving parts.

    Great Product

Have this device connected to a Blackweb Speaker. I am in a building with 3G service so I need to keep the power connected to the phone to keep the battery charged. Connected device to a Belkin FM converter so I could hear music in my 2004 Trailblazer with no aux connection. I love the sound coming out of the Blackweb speaker and my car stereo has not sound this good since I bought the car. I use Apple Music and watch Netflix and it works great. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews.

Have gone through 2 in six months

I purchased two of these. One for my car and one for bed. The one for my car is still working but the one for bed dies every three months. I’ve gone through two and I need now I need a third. I thought maybe the first failure was a fluke since the one in the car is just fine. After two months, the headphones stop working and after three both stop working. You have to be so still for them to maybe work but as soon as you put the phone down...nothing.

Does not work in cold weather!!!!!!

I ordered (through Apple) the Belkin 'Charge Rockstar' right after I got my iPhine 7 in the fall of 2016. It initially it worked fine but when cold weather set in, it wouldn't work if left in a cold car overnight. The Charge Rockstar would have to warm up (temperature-wise) before it would work in cold weather! NOT KIDDING!!!
I contacted Apple for a replacement. They sent me a new Charge Rockstar. It did the exact same thing, would not work if left in a cold car overnight until it warmed up (temperature-wise).
    What a piece of junk!!!!!!!
I've had 7 iPhones over the years and have always loved them. All improved over the previous version until the iPhone 7 when they got rid of headphone jack. I, like others, need to be able to stream music and charge at the same time. And, I am forever losing Apple's small adapter to use headphone through the lightning port.
I curse the day Apple ditched the headphone jack, now I'm going to find a phone with a headphone jack........

    Amazing! I think not!

For the guy who said he doesn't understand all the one stars reviews and for those who felt that 4stars was the best rating for this over priced excuse for technology are living in outer space! You are obviously not using this adapter on a regular basis! I suggest to you and others reading your dribble who have rated this "thing" as "amazing" I'm guessing are being paid by apple/belkin for a false reviews! I have had to replace this adapter 5 times in the last year! It keeps shorting out and refuses to let my earphones to work! I have even tried to reenforce the cable but to no avail. I have bought and returned other after market adapters which do not work at all and are being sold falsely to work with iPhone 7 or 7 plus mostly because they use the older round earphones jack. This is a design issue with apple by them removing the designated headphone and charging ports! Until they figure this out I suggest buying another cell phone completely that has two ports that support charging and earphone function. Of course if you live in that world where you are kissing apple/Belkin butts and are being paid for false reviews.

It works okay, but slows down charging.

I've been using this regularly at my desk for almost a year now. The quality seems fine and I've had no issues with usability or sound quality. It does seem to slow down charging though. If I need to actually get some power into my phone quickly, I have to unplug this thing.

    Pretty much perfect operation

I'm able to use a charger and (so far) every lighting accessory I've tried in the other port.
The only con to this is that it's a bit large and bulky, but it's the only lightning "splitter" on the market that I've tried that works flawlessly.
I bought a second one that stays with my battery pack so I can use headphones and charge while on the go. The other one is at my desk at work or it goes in my bag.

    Stop Working

Worked fine for the first few months then started to start/stop charging every few seconds. Now headphones completely stopped working. Now apple make it almost impossible for you to get support replacing it or anything. £35 isn't cheap for something the phone should include anyway!

    Waste of money

Do not buy this product! I have only used it a few times and it worked perfectly but now every time I try to use it it does not work! Whenever I attempt to use this device a message comes up saying 'this accessory device may not be supported'. I bought this overpriced produced from the apple website thinking that as apple advertise it, I could trust it. I'm very disappointed and wish I did not waste my money on this product.

Like all cables... they just don't last!

Was great while it worked, however it was only a matter of months before it broke like all Apple charging cables seem to break. I cannot justify spending another $60 on an item that I bought 9 months ago. Just not good enough, and it's frustrating because there aren't any other options - I should be able to listen to music AND charge my phone at the same time.
