    Does not fit!!!

    • Written by Ally A from westlake

this case is said to be designed for the MacBook Pro 13" with Touchbar, but it doesn't fit at all. I had to force the top to fit, and the bottom wouldn't fit at all and I didn't want to force it because I was afraid it'd damage my new MacBook. Horrible product. would rate it 0 stars if I could.

    Total Rubbish!!!

    • Written by Carol M from Silverstone

I have had two of these. The first one cracked after less than six weeks so the store replaced it for me, although it was only the fourth guy there who could actually get it to fit! The second lasted longer and although it too cracked, it held together for a while before bits started to drop off it.

This is plainly not 'fit for purpose'. Apple describe it as 'durable', the dictionary definition of which is "able to withstand wear, pressure or damage; hard wearing" - which is a clear contradiction of what used to be the 'Trades Description Act', which is now the Consumer Rights Act and also of Advertising Standards Regulations. Unfortunately the website won't allow me to give it zero stars, which is what it so richly deserves.

    Looks nice but doesn't work

    • Written by Diego Joaquín C from Cordoba

It fits pretty well but after two months started cracking on the corners for no apparent reason. I'm the only one who uses my MBP 13'' and I've never dropped it.

    The corners crack!

    • Written by Jime C from San Jose

I purchased my MacBook Pro and this case about 3 months ago. When I snapped the case I noticed that it fits a little tight and there were cracks on the corners but decided to ignore it. A few days ago one of the cracked corners actually broke! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CASE.
I'm really disappointed in this product, it's supposed to protect my Mac but it clearly doesn't even fit correctly. I really should have listened to the other reviews. Hopefully either apple will stop selling these cases or incase will fix this problem.

    Horrible!! save your money

    • Written by Jessica N from London

I bought this after 5 failed attempts to get a case for my new Macbook Pro 13''. The quality is really poor and it cracks after a little bit. Nothing compared to the previous case that Apple used to sell - I got one for my old macbook pro and it lasted 7 years!!

    Terrible Case

    • Written by Dean D from London

This case started to break as I put it on. It's got to be the worst product I've ever seen. It only has one job and wasn't designed to perform that function at all! Why on earth would you sell this on your store?

    Not Worth It

    • Written by Lily F from Melbourne

I bought this case about 3 months ago and it has cracked on almost every corner. I am not rough on the case at all, it lives in a sleeve when travelling around yet pretty much every corner as either cracked or snapped off completely.
The quality of the case is poor.
Definitely do not recommend this case to anyone and am looking to purchase a higher quality one shortly.

    Don't buy this.

    • Written by James K from High wycombe

At first it looks great, but then you notice small imperfections, it doesn't quite fit properly. Then a few weeks later you notice cracks and the clips holding the laptop in start breaking off, not even under heavy use. I've just received a replacement one and it still the same issues. It's overpriced and cheaply made.

    Not made to last long

    • Written by Daryl K from Brisbane

Unfortunately over time from just the action of opening and closing the MacBook, this case will eventually lose its hold. It's no design flaw of the case though. It's just because the newer MacBooks have less space between the body and the screen when the lid is closed. This limits how much the case can hook onto the screen or the body. The small tabs may eventually break, or just simply lose their ability to hold the case to the MacBook. It's a good case overall, but paying often for these isn't something everyone would like to do.

    Not great ...

    • Written by David B from Ruislip

I put this on the same day as I bought my Macbook Pro, and it's a very discreet shell that kept the laptop nice and clean. However the corners on the bottom half have cracked and broken.

Now this laptop only moves occasionally from the stand on my desk to the kitchen table and back, it's not subject to any real wear-and-tear at all, so I have to assume that the plastic is just brittle and so it cracks under the stress of being a tight fit on the laptop.

    Not all that impressed ...

Main section a very poor fit

    • Written by A G C from Haslemere

Top part for the screen fits fine and is nice and tight, but bottom part does not clip into place properly, and I don't give it longe before it just falls off altogether. Very disappointing for something purchased at premium price through the apple store.

Will break around edges within weeks

    • Written by Rene K from Sydney

I have bought 2 within 2 months. The first one started cracking away on every corner within the 1st month. I thought it was bad luck & I was just unlucky. Thinking surely Apple wouldn't sell such a dodgy product, I bought another one. Same thing happened. I took it back to Apple for a replacement, but they wouldn't provide a replacement. The Incase cover simply has design flaws given the exact same thing happened to 2 covers within the time period after purchase. For the record, my top of the line Macbook Pro is brand new & hasn't left the lounge room so extremely unlikely every corner of the case would crack & chip away. It's clearly a design flaw & I won't buy another one.

On the previous Macbook Pro, I bought a $20 flexible case off eBay that worked perfectly. I'll purchase that again & save $ as well.

    Poor Design

    • Written by Asli K from London

The case didn't EVEN FIT my MacBook pro, also making it impossible to open the screen to more than a 90 degree angle. Definitely a mistake.

    Poor case

    • Written by Ashlea V from Jacksonville

I guess you can see it in the photo, but I wasn't aware that the case has "dots" for the design. I got the "clear" for my 2017 Macbook Pro and it's not really that see-through due to the dots design. The top part of the case falls off all of the time, making it really annoying to use. If you tilt the screen, your fingers will accidentally pop the case off. Also, stickers hardly ever stay on the case. Overpriced and not worth it.

Good Fit but Cracks appeared in less than 3 months

    • Written by Eva Marie D from Las Vegas

Bought my laptop for school. Bought this case to "protect" my laptop from scratches. Opted for this 50 dollar case that Apple sells instead of the 10-20 dollar ones from amazon that showed good reviews cause i thought that if Apple was selling it, it must be of good quality.

Bought the case in July. I only brought my laptop to school ONCE, and I was very careful when I did. Later that night, saw that the bottom case had cracks on each corners. How did I get those cracks? I never dropped my laptop, nor have I put it in a situation that would cause those cracks.

Im just gonna buy a sleeve. No point in spending on these hardshell cases.

    Wouldn't recommend

    • Written by Caroline J from San Mateo

I wouldn't recomend this sleeve. I bought it and i tried to retun it but it was over by 4 days, the 14 day policy at Apple wouldn't make an acception. So i got stuck with a case that kept crackimg and chipping on every corner. when you open your laptop they made no room so the laptop hits it and then cracks start to happen. I suggest staying away from SPECK mac book products.

So I got the new MacBook Pro 13" for my birthday back in April. Everything was going great. Well, two weeks ago my laptop dropped, the case broke and now my laptop is also dented/damaged. So this doesn't offer any protection and it breaks. Really unfortunate since I've only had my laptop for 3 months.

i bought the clear hardshell case for my macbook pro and have been very happy with it......until i had to remove it for the apple store so they could change the screen on my mac under warranty. unfortunately this case is a fit once only! ever since it went back on after the repair by apple it just cracked at the corners and now i require a new case and at this cost i will look at other options.

    Great Case

    • Written by Dwayne A from Valley Stream

I also have to comment on the statement that it doesn't fit. Which is not correct. It may be that the reviewer had installed it in reverse orientation. The case is slim and won't add weight to the unit. I previously had a case that while seeming slim, had enough weight to make the lid shut if it was tilted down halfway as you do for privacy. I did not think of that previous case as heavy, but compared to this one, it certainly seems so. This case does not have that adverse effect. I also have a skin on the lid of my MacBook Pro. The previous case was totally smooth on the underside so would stick to the skin, the look would be like the underside of a sticker on glass. This case has very very tiny bumps to give a nice feel to it, it also has the benefit one not allowing the case to "stick" to the lid and base. its secure, just not sucking on for dear life. If you're considering a case as someone who had previous cases from other retailers, this is the best one yet.
