    Great cable

    • Written by Eric A from Manhattan

Great charging cable, charges everything faster than a Belkin or other off brand cable. And has all the functionality with my car. Have not had issues with the cables failing. Also, no issues in Europe, works just fine.

    Best cable available

    • Written by Christine F from Edmonton

I have been satisfied with these cables again and again. No cable lasts forever. I know that some past reviews were very critical of the longevity but my opinion is that in the world of wires, there isn’t better durablility. Period.

My cables have lasted me for ages. 2 years

    • Written by Shay S from Jarrow

I am buying a new cable as my old cable’s rubber sleeve has ripped. It has done me well and I don’t know why everyone cries about their cables snapping because I’m very rough with my cables. Constantly pulling and bending them. I don’t see how mine haven’t broke yet. It’s simple don’t rag the cable about and it won’t snap. I learnt my lesson but seems like others would rather complain and repeat.

    USB Cable

    • Written by Patricia P from Milbridge

I have had this charger for over 2 years and it goes with me on my travels and I use it everyday while I am watching tv. I have had no problems with this charger and it even gets caught under my recliner chair and still works fine. Happy to have the length of a 2 ml. Getting one for my son. He loves the length.

Best cable for the best phone

    • Written by JohnLuke B from Chula Vista

For everyone saying this cable is horrible, I’ve had mine for a little over a year and it’s starting to show some wear. I take care of everything I buy so I have no idea what everyone else is talking about. Bet half the people that rated this 1 star sleeps with their phone meaning the cord is going to bend somewhere somehow. Cords are not supposed to be bent period, there is metal inside thus bending and twisting will break the metal. I also believe people pull on the cord vice the actual plastic cover on the connector, again a no no. Only reason my cable is starting to give is because my wife uses it now so twice the wear, twice the bending and pulling.

Haven't had any problems so far

    • Written by Finlay M

I've read plenty of reviews saying that Apple's Lightning cables are awful and break easily, but I honestly haven't had any problems with my cable so far, and I've had it for around 1.5 years, plugging it in far more frequently than most people would due to the not very long battery life of my iPod touch. To be honest, my cable looks almost just as good as it did when it was brand new.
The only bad part of these cable are that they are slightly overpriced, but they're made by Apple, so that's probably why.

    Try it & see

    • Written by Christopher M from London

There isn’t a bigger sceptic than me. I was 100% with the two for £5 brigade. I think over the years I’ve got through more of these moody ones than I can remember. Last Monday, I went into the local Apple shop & was heartbroken and having to part with nearly £30 nicka for one cable. The moody ones were getting so hot it did genuinely concern me. All the stories on hear about yes they’re wonderful or terrible. In my humble opinion, the difference in terms of manufacturing (being tangible I mean) the difference is remarkable. I’m in no way condoning the RRP for the product, how can a cable cost nearly £30 nicka which would cost no more at guesstimiation in the little people land 50p to produce. The quality is immediate once you open the box. We all know Apple is top draw & essentially you get what you pay for. It’s top quality & everything just works as we all know. The moody cables are more than likely made in the same sweatshop anyway. I’m not justifying their price in anyway, however I thing if treated more carefully & respect this should be ok for a few years. Why on earth would anybody wear a Rolex???? It’s essentially ostentatious & in your boat. I’d take Patek Philippe everyday.

    New design works with iPads

    • Written by Kevin W from Grass Valley

Apple has apparently redesigned the cable. The new one I just bought is thicker and fully charges my iPads while they are being used.

Look for the new model number to insure you are getting the redesigned cable: M0819AM/A

I have an older version of this 2m cable and it did not fully charge my iPads (Air 2 and 12.9" Pro). The "Not Charging" message would appear around 90% charged and would remain there. If you put the iPad to sleep it would finish charging.

It doesnt break if you don’t abuse it

    • Written by Melissa S from Elmhurst

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews for these cables. Maybe others need to be a little less aggressive when handling their cable? The only time I ever need a new one is because I’ve damaged mine by getting it caught in the bedside table drawer too many times, stepping on it, or accidentally yanking or twisting the cable by grabbing my device without realizing it’s plugged in. And it takes a lot of these instances for the cable to finally give out and break. I dont use my device while plugged in, so maybe thats the issue that people are having, woth the cable bending when they use it while plugged in? It’s actually pretty durable if you’re not causing it to constantly bend all over the place.

No problems with Apple cable I bought

    • Written by Lesley P from Harrogate

Purchased Apple 2m cable and adaptor over a year ago with new iPad Pro. Not had any problem with it. I tend to leave cable plugged in to adaptor and just plug other end into iPad when needed. I think if you handle it gently it shouldn’t come apart as some people have experienced. I also bought a 1m cable and adaptor from another company to use elsewhere. Yes, it was cheaper but I find the cable too short to plug in directly to wall socket if I want to use iPad whilst it’s charging. Have to plug in to an extension socket. Also the cheaper one takes ages to fully recharge the iPad even when not in use. I suppose you get more reviews from unhappy customers to complain and there are many more satisfied customers who don’t bother to send a review.

    works great!

    • Written by Michelle K from Surrey

I was kind of nervous to purchase this cord after some of the bad reviews but I have had the cord for a few months and it works great. It charges so much faster than the cheap cords and seems to be really good quality. The length is perfect.

Surprisingly great luck with this cord

    • Written by Eric G from Corrales

I've had this cord for around three and a half years. It looks like it's been to war with how the soft plastic is fraying on the outside and how bent out of shape it is. The hard plastic on the lightning plug part that goes into the phone is cracked. I've had to cut some of the soft plastic down and add a heat shrink wrap around the lightning plug portion. Despite all this, it still charges my phone just fine. All of the wiring is still intact. I'm finally looking for a replacement because I think it might become somewhat of a fire hazard.

Four Years Strong, Even With Some Bad Cable Care

    • Written by Tracy P from Hayward

I’ve had my 2m Lightening cable foor four years now, since I got my iPad Air back in 2013. Throughout that time the cable has performed flawlessly despite my abuse to it. The length was great, much more convient than the included 1m cable that came with my iPad. It’s a thicker cable than the standard 1m cables as well.

A word on cable maintenace, I made the mistake of travelling with it without removing the USB end from the wall adapter when packing the cable away. This ended up bending the USB end over time and now that the casing of the cable is splitting it’s time to replace. I will definitely not be doing this with my replacment cable.

    Overall, highly recommend this cable.

Apple cares and they got it right

    • Written by Bailey B

I find it hard to believe people hate the cable and think going beyond that has anything to do with these fantastic cables. With that said these cables are amazing no matter how I handled them. They last as long as third party cables except mine still work like a charm. As of now after a couple of months of using them the first time, the outer later may stretch a bit, but that's the most they have ever changed for me problem wise which shows the heart and effort that went into this.
