Purchased these for my younger brother. Less than a month later he was hearing static from one side of the earphones. This would be in and out though, so he didn’t think it was too big of a deal. But one night he removes the headphones from the jack on his iPad and it breaks off leaving half of it inside. He was so upset, and I initially thought maybe he had yanked it and it broke due to consumer error, but I read online about it happening to lots of other Beats EP users due to this being the only beats model that has a PLASTIC headphone jack. All others are metal. I have no clue why this is the case as even cheap airline headphones come with a metal headphone jack. Apple wouldn’t replace it nor would they help remove the other side of the plastic headphone jack stuck in the iPad, but recommended buying new headphones and a new iPad. We ended up having to go to an outside shop to remove it. Suffice it to say unless your going to baby your headphones like they’re made of crystal I’d take a pass on these Beats.

Don’t buy this! Product is poorly made!

    • Written by Erika S from North Ogden

My son purchased a pair of these with his Christmas money. He was so proud and happy with them at first but they only lasted 2 months. The screws which hold the sliders on both came off on their own and the rubber piece that was inside was lost. I brought it to the Apple store and was told it was covered under warranty and it would be replaced. I got an email the day after stating it was not covered and we would have to pay $79 for a new pair. I refused to purchase another pair of these! It is not worth the money and the stress of having to deal with Apple. I have always been an Apple phone user and all my children have beats headphones. These are cheaply made and not worth $130!!

    Consistantly Bad Products

    • Written by Phillip M from Oak Park

My pair of Beats EP headphones fell apart within 1 month. earpiece detached without any outside force. Apple refused to repair. i understand you don't cover accidental damage, but that is not what happened. They fell apart in my hand.

Anyway, shame on me because my previous two pairs of Beats Headphones also stopped working (no sound) within the first year.

    Weak cable

    • Written by Marie-Pier B from Quebec

The cable of those headphones is weak and will break in only couple of months. I got them replaced after 4 months and then it broke again and Apple didn't want to replace it so there is no way I will buy that kind of product again. Even though the sound is good, it not worths paying for those headphones. In bonus, Apple wasn't able to provide me a french speaking advisor in Canada. I'm very disappointed.

    Taking Advantage of Kids

    • Written by CHRISTINA S from Overland Park

Both my son and his best buddy got these as their main holiday gifts. Both sets developed the same wiring problem mentioned by another reviewer--they could only hear from one side--with only a few months of normal use. I feel like Apple took advantage of not just me, but of these boys. So disappointing. Meanwhile the earbuds that come with apple products keep on ticking....so clearly these Beats are an inferior product. All hype, no delivery. Never again.

These are not worth it. Bought two pairs and both broke. We weren't rough on them at all. Not durable and the sound isn't even worth $130.

    Not worth it all!

    • Written by Hank D from Bound Brook

The beats headphones are not worth it at all. I bought two--one for each of my kids. Both sets had wiring problems where they could only hear the sound from one speaker. I had to take them back and get them fixed. They did fix them, but I shouldn't even have to do that given the price. for that price they should work like a charm. Then the cable snapped on my daughter's headphone and that wasn't;t covered under any warranty, so I was just out a $100 in less than three months.
Don't waste your money on these--get Bose or something that will work and last.
Apple really dropped the ball here--I will not by anything else that says "beats". Also the customer service in the Apple Store has really gone down the drain.

    Worst headphones AVOID

    • Written by Karen L from Melbourne

Bought one pair, 2 weeks later they stop working. Got them replaced, 3 weeks later same issue. No sound from left earphone. Won't be wasting money in them again. Might be cheap but more hassle than they are worth.
