    Very bad quality.

Cheap leather, Apple stamp is faded and doesn’t stick out, and the buttons are incredibly hard to press. Do not recommend.

    Tan leather SE case

The leather is beautiful, I have. It's the Black and Tan leather cases. They look more and more beautiful the older it gets, the tan leather looks saddle leather and vintage. White silver iPhone with tan leather is sweet.

Very disappointed with this purchase but serves me right for not reading the reviews first! All my gripes have been listed on other comments ....the slate grey bezel on my phone sticks out and looks nothing like the photograph, the result is certainly not the sleek black look I was after; The slightest pressure on the back of the cover causes the corner of the phone to lift up and rather than providing a snug, quality feel the cover feels loose and fails to inspire any confidence. It will cost me more than it's worth to get to the nearest Apple Store in order to return it. A total waste of $40........Not impressed.

Looks great but offers no protection to shocks.

Bought this case as was really impressed with the feel of the leather and that it didn't add much to the proportions of my SE. I returned it after a few days as everytime I took the phone out of my pocket it had popped out of the case. Apple store in Edinurgh replaced as exected and I've been happier with this one (if only for a few months) until recently it's started not holding the phone in properly again. My son dropped the phone on the table yesterday (can only have been 30cm fall) and the screen has cracked... I would say if you want to keep the iphone's asthetics and feel then leave it as is; if you want protection then buy a proper bumper. Lesson learnt!

Great looking but expensive & beware if you ever need to remove the phone

Great looking, feels great but is very expensive & BEWARE if you ever need to remove the phone from the case - the thin edge around the lightning connector aperture is very fragile - I broke it when I tried to take the case off to change the SIM in the phone (my wife's phone and she was NOT impressed by my efforts!)

    Sound Quality

I love the look, feel, fit BUT just about everyone I talk to on the phone complains about not being able to hear me clearly. Problem solved after I remove the case. :-( Yes, I have checked the microphone holes are clear. Maybe they're not positioned accurately. I'm going to have to find another case that functions better.

works well fits perfectly and goes with any color iPhone you have
but the price is very high because it an still break because its not super super durable but it does the trick even if you drop your phone a lot just make sure you have a glass screen protector just in case because it doesn't cover the screen over all great case go buy it now !

    Buyer's remorse

My phone never sat in the case properly, the bottom of the phone always sat proud of the case. Now the thin piece between the lightning jack and the front broke and the bottom of the phone does not stay in the case at all. I dropped it and the corner of my phone got scuffed up because the case didn't protect it. Definitely regret this purchase, and I'm now on the hunt for something new.

    7 Months later

Beautiful leather case that protects better than you'd expect, it being slim and minimalistic. After about 5 months however, it started fraying at the edges. After seven months, it started falling apart completely, no longer holding the phone snugly in place. Not what I expect from a $40 case. The good news is I took it to an Apple store and they gave me a new one, no questions asked. This time around, I'm going to be really careful with it, to see if I can get it to last a whole year. I really do like the case, it's slim and classy so no biggy. I hope it lasts until the iPhone 8 comes out and I'll upgrade anyway, but just so you know, it may not be the most durable.

    Great case.

It's a great case and feels good to the hand. Tight and thin so it does not ad bulk to my SE. I would buy this again anytime.

    Amazing Gift

I got this for my brother as a Christmas present (who has an iPhone 5S) and I was curious so I tried it out. It was the best case I have ever tried out and makes my phone much more grippy. It's also really good for protection because I am dropping my phone a LOT and it's still in perfect condition. Thank You Apple!

Sadly this lovely case is a waste of $$$$$

I loved the look and idea of this case. After about three weeks of use (never removing the case after I first put it on), it became loose and left the bottom left of the phone exposed. Of course it was right out of my return date and now Apple won't do anything about it. If I'd reviewed this item a day after I received it, I'd have given it 5 stars. However, after some use it loosen and unless you want the corners of your phone exposed...DO NOT PURCHASE.

Not quite the standard you'd expect from Apple

I was expecting this case to be a perfect fit, seeing as it is an official Apple product for an Apple phone. It is a little too small, if anything, maybe 1 or 2mm too shallow. The case edges don't quite wrap around the metal phone edges around the screen, so the glass is only just level with the rim of the case, so if you were to lay it face down on a flat surface, the screen would be touching the surface. The holes for the speaker and mic don't quite line up either. The 'velveteen' lining is soft and protective for the phone and the finish of the leather is very nice, it's just the size that's the issue. Certainly not worth £39 at all, more like, say £15, in my opinion.

    Seems Great To Me

Not sure I get the negative points people have made. The leather is not particularly slippery at all. There are other grippier cases out there but most of those (excepting the Speck one that I have) also attract and hold lint like crazy. Silicone cases seem to be the worst in that regard.

Fits great. Taking it on or off might slide the ring/silent switch, but pulling it out of a pocket doesn't. At least not for me. The corners don't seem to slide off either, as someone posted. As to the silver trim around the very edge of the phone being visible: it is. I think it looks fine that way though. Not a big deal. That trim is less than one mm wide. Doesn't look bad to me at all, but of course that's a very personal assessment.

Someone posted something about the leather being stiff enough that the buttons are hard to push. Again, not my experience at all. Maybe some are stiffer than others?

The other thing that some have pointed out is the "minimal" screen protection. This case does have a very small lip around the edge. Lay it flat on a table etc and the screen is certainly not contacting anything. Those who equate this with a lack of screen protection are overlooking what'll really mess up your screen though: a corner of something or a protrusion or what have you. What I mean is: If you drop your phone and it lands screen-down, how likely is it that it'll land perfectly flat on a perfectly flat surface? Not very. So... all the other cases out there that have more of a raised edge around the front are really only giving a false sense of security there.

    Problematic Design

This case has some issues which are making me think about returning it.

    - It adds significantly to the feeling of size of the phone. It may be just a couple of millimetres thick, but it's a critical difference.
    - It's a lot more slippery in the hand than the bare phone.
    - It dulls the lock and volume buttons into mushyness, forcing you to press them with more force.
    - The port for the lightning connector is very narrow, so some 3rd party plugs may not fit.
    - It prevents you using Apple's 30pin to Lightning adapter, so car connector kit options are limited.
    - It doesn't wrap around the edges of the screen at all, so you see the black edge of the case, the silver edge of the phone, then the (black) screen - visually overly busy.
    - it's really hard, and I imagine doesn't so much pad the phone against falls, as transfer that kinetic energy straight through.

    Some issues

The case does not fit the phone solidly. Corners of the phone come out of the case. So much in fact that it pushes the button to silence the phone unknowingly. Therefore lots of missed calls and email alerts when this happens....which is often.. You have to train yourself to keep taking it out of your pocket and push the silence button back on. Very, very annoying. Big design flaw.
