Poor Quality Earbuds - Too Expensive For Quality - Lack of Convienience

    Pros:
    fits in ear
sound isn't terrible when brand new
    white color is noticeable

    Cons:
Dongle required to charge iPhone and listen to music at same time (this is a daily pattern for me)
These wear out fast. Within one week the sound would cut in and out.
Within one month, the left earbud gets distorted.
Created so Apple can eliminate the headphone jack. Boo.

I'm so disappointed with this design decision. For what? So they can sell the wireless earbuds??? I don't want the wireless earbuds because people can't see them in my ears (I have long hair). Nothing screams "I am on the phone right now/leave me alone!" like two white wires coming from somewhere near my head going to my iPhone like the wired earbuds.

WORST headphones ever made by Apple

Giving one star because I can't give zero. I am not sure if this is because of the Lightning Connector or what, but these headphones are horrible! This is my third pair and all of them come already with this issue: bad contact with the plug. I use them mostly to work out and any slight rougher movement I make, the music stops. Then I have to unplug, reconnect and press play again. Now imagine this several times per workout (which is not a delicate activity). Never again!

Nice sound. Weightless. Comfortable. Battery too short for phone calls

Happy with it since day one with the major bummer of dropping calls after less than 90 min. A problem during business teleconferences. Other issue is that when the battery is down, if you have not switched the sound on the phone to another target (plugging earbuds for example), as removing one airpod from your ear to reload it will be interpreted as an end of call and the telephone will hang off. Sound is overall quite good for such a light device. Also definitely very expensive. Still happy. You can listen to music while not being from ambient noises (there is no noise cancellation feature/effect at all), and have a normal conversation with it - might look strange but works.

They sound great and they stay in really well but they go out too fast (mine went out within 2 months). I feel like they’re too expensive for how flimsy they are.

    Terrible, not durable at all

I buy these and go through them right away. It has been the same every time; one earbud stops working. The next few days, they both break. There is no damage done to them at all. Also, they will randomly start, stop, pause, and skip music. Not worth $30 at all.

    Not Durable

These only seem to last for a few months. Without any obvious damage, these earbuds have started performing erratically; the controls seem to miscommuniate with my iPhone turning music on and off without me doing anything.

Apple's quality getting worse and worse

This EarPods've only lasted 6 months before it suddenly stopped working for no reason, no drop or breaking or nothing. As a Apple user since 2009, I would say I feel more and more disappointed about Apple quality. The price keeps going up but unfortunately the quality goes for the opposite direction.

    Worst headphones don’t get

These are the worst headphones ever. Not worth 30 dollar also. The old ones were better and they didn’t fall apart

Still working great even after being washed LOL

I forgot that it was in my pants pocket when I washed it. I thought it wouldn’t work anymore but surprisingly it still works like nothing happened! It’s just extra clean! Good job apple!

Best earphones I have ever used !

These are amazing !! The quality of the sound is incredible, so crisp, so clear and the bass is insane. Beats listening to my music through my iPhone 8 speakers anyday, and that’s saying something because they are also so good. The earphones never fall out, really lightweight so you don’t even feel them in your ears. It just feels like your surrounded by really good quality loud music but your not! It’s all in your ears! And the fact it connects through the lightening port isn’t an issue, you get used to it. And I have tried other really expensive brands but you just can’t beat these

Best In-ear headphones you can get for the price

These are by far the best in-ear headphones that you can get for this price range and probably well above it, they have so much clarity and they don't distort easily. They reproduce the low end much better than you would expect from the size of them and the low end is nice and tight, not at all muddy.

    Broke within weeks

Just got my Iphone 8 and used the apple earbuds and guess what only one ear works. The great thing about this is that I can’t use my old earphones because there is no headphone jack. Just got my Iphone 8 a couple weeks ago so these were brand new earbuds.

    SSDD

They're the same as the old ones (I wouldn't say the quality has improved) but adding the uselessness of the fact that you can't charge your phone while using headphones because they both use the same port... plus the fact that they lasted me a month and a half before breaking to the point of having to throw them to the garbage...

    Thanks Apple!

this is third pair of earpods that I own. everytime I need them a pair was around until couldn't find any of it. to my surprise I had put them with a pair of jeans into the washing machine! Plug them into my stereo and they worked!!! sound great and a washing machine won't stop them! I suggest others to give them a go.

    iPhone 7 headphones

The headphones had come with my iPhone 7. In the whole year that I’ve had my phone I’ve had them replaced 4 times (with apple care) as they keep breaking. The sound isn’t as good as it is on the other Apple headphones. Now that the cable has split I can’t return them and ask for a new pair so I have to buy another pair!!! What a joke

    Worst earpods

I have had to get 2 replacements already in first 12 months and now the third ones are starting to cause issues. They only seem to work for 6 months and then start causing issues like volume control not working, one ear pod stops working. My ear pods now start playing music or activate voice control if the lead is a certain way. I had an iPhone 5 previously for 4 years and never had an issue with the ear pods received with that.

    Max 8 month life span

If you are interested in purchasing a temporary set of earphones, then these are definitely the ones to waste your money on. Don’t get me wrong, they work great for about 7 1/2 months, then one side will stop working. Also, when I contacted support to see if they are covered under warranty, I received a case number to take to my local Apple store for a possible trade except for my local Apple store is 148 miles away. Come on Apple, you guys are better than these EarPods. I know they are only $29, but after purchasing an $800 iPhone 7 Plus, $1,000 MacBook Air and $400 iPad mini, I can’t afford the $160 AirPods.

    $29 for a $5 product

The fact that Apple believes all ears are created equal and that one size fits all is ludicrous. These earbuds are completely useless to me. They fall out of my ears with the slightest movement. While they are pleasing on the eyes I unfortunately cant hear by looking at them. The "Sleek design" that everyone talks about is more like the "Slick design" because they’re so slippery they slip right out of my ears. The hard plastic design creates a very slick surface. Without anything to provide friction or grip the buds just fall out. Now the sound quality is there but only if I hold my fingers on the buds to keep them in my ear. Aside from that it’s difficult to hear anything when they are hanging from my neck. I wouldn’t buy a pair of these if they were selling for a single dollar. I don’t make it a habit of buying stuff that doesn’t function properly unless I can fix it and unfortunately this design cant be fixed.
