    Super inconvenient!

OMG! How can I tell you how much I hate this design decision? With the items that Apple includes with your new iPhone, you cannot charge your phone and listen to the earbuds at the same time. You have to buy an aftermarket adapter. Apple is wrong for that! This isn’t keeping with Steve Jobs’s vision of keeping it “so simple my mother could use it”. Another problem of this design is, if you plug in a charger after you’ve connected to a Bluetooth device, you get instantly disconnected and have to reconn for your Bluetooth. A third problem is—similar to the last one—if you are listening to a song and open an app that has the ability to play audio (even if you aren’t using its audio at the time) the earbuds shut off and the sound comes through the phones speakers at high volume! VERY, VERY inconvenient when you are in an environment which requires you to stay quiet and listen through your earbuds (library, public transit, near a sleeping child, etc.). Yes, I’m VERY displeased with this hardware change. I have the iPhone 8 Plus and this is the one feature that I just simply HATE the most. As they say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. I hope they change it back in future iPhone iterations.

    qorst headphones

the sound isnt bad for headphones but ive gone through about 4 pairs of headphones & 2 adapters in 2 years. I am an active runner, work out, and always have headphones in my ears. This product either stops working by stopping my music involunterarily OR one earbud stops working. i dont recommend for a durable headphone use, only if youre looking for a quix fix appose to airpods

    Ear pod review

I really hate these earbuds. the sound quality is fine its just that if you turn up your music higher than one notch everyone can hear your music. Also the earbuds are extremely uncomfortable, uneven, and they fall out so easily. Will be purchasing other brands.

Only use in case of Emergency

Came with my iPhone 7 and I have got to say these headphones are terrible! Besides the fact that's they are cheaply built has an experienced owner of apple EarPods I can guarantee this won't last, the sound is garbage with almost no middle, poor bass (if ever defined), no treble, rather low volume range, almost no effect from EQ and crisp sound. If you find yourself in a situation where you have no headphones resort to a Seinheiser, a Sony Bluetooth (49€) or if you are like me and don't care about cables try an de find a Monster Clarity 100 (59,90€) they are great, never have been disappointed by Monster (have been using on eu of their guitar cables for more than 2 years and is pristine new).

Good quality sound; lasted three months

These need a longer life, please, Apple. We pay good money for your products. How about some earpods that last? Got these new with the phone; right ear stopped working today. Sick of throwing money at these! And I can't WEAR your expensive wireless kind b/c I've got the wrong-shaped ear. Better earpods for the common people!

    Solid earbuds

I must be more careful than others with my Apple stuff because I've never had a pair of these break or stop working. They have great sound and an awesome backup to my AirPods.

Bought 3 and now I have to buy a new one

It's like apple purposely sets its earpods to fail. Now I have to buy a new one for my iPhone. My money keeps wasting and it's frustrating.

    Better than expected

The sound quality is terrific ... if you’re sitting still. I hadn’t used Apple’s EarPods before, but after buying a new iPhone X I thought I’d try them out of the box. This was a precursor to me perhaps buying a set of very expensive AirPods, or so I thought. If the wired EarPods weren’t up to scratch, the wireless AirPods wouldn’t be either, not because of sound quality but because of fit. As I said, the EarPod’s sound quality was terrific, much better than my very expensive Bluetooth headphones. But - and isn’t there always a but - the pods would not stay in my ears. And as I wanted to use them in the gym, there was no way they were going to stay put. The simple solution was buying some skins. The EarPods now stay put, the sound is just as good, and I’m happy. I won’t be buying a pair of AirPods simply because I don’t need to. The EarPods are just fine, with the skins of course.

    Small shelf life

It doesnt last long, which is unfortunate since the music quality is decent. Wish apple cared about improving the components of these headphones instead of gunning for more profits, oh well

    Just ok

I like the apple earbuds because they fit well in my ear and I like the built in mic. However, they don't last for more than a year and that's ridiculous. Sound quality started to get bad, then the mic stopped working, and now the right earbud doesn't work at all. So just like Apple wants, I know have to buy another pair.

    Very Disappointed

I got the IPhone 7 a few months ago and these EarPods came with. The sound was fine but within six weeks the cord spilt and the wires frayed. The right bud doesn’t work now and I can’t bring myself to buy more because how junky they are. PLEASE HELP, APPLE! Is it just the pods that came with the phone? Maybe it was a bad batch of whatever the cord is made out of? I’d love to see this resolved.

Didn't Last a Year, Poor Quality. Don't waste your money.

I bought mine 8 months ago and for the past two months the earpods would pause and then play and then pause, etc. my music and continue to do this at random yet frequent moments when i did not touch my phone or the button on the earpods.

It was EXTREMELY irritating that my music would be interrupted at any given moment. Now, since the button on the right earphone broke, the right earphone eventually broke as well and now music only plays through my left earphone. At such a price, is it too much to ask for these earphones to last even a YEAR?

I am a loyal apple customer with using apple for my laptop and phone. But now, I cannot look to apple for providing me with earphones because the quality is too poor and disappointing. I have wasted my money.

    Never last!

I like apple products but since the headphone jack was removed from the phones and these new earbuds came out the sound is beautiful but they have been pure garbage. Please just bring the headphone jack back or at least have them work longer than a couple months

Apple Is Getting Very Sneaky and Low Quality

I like the design of these earpods (great for small ears), yet they are of terrible quality and one ear always stops working (if the rubber around them doesn't peel first). Unfortunately, the rest of the electronics market seems to have completely ignored Apple's unnecessary attempt at "innovation" with these lightning inputs so I am forced buy another pr. of these overpriced earpods or buy an adapter JUST TO USE OTHER EARPHONES.

I don't understand why Apple decided to change to the lightning input other than to force people to buy extra adapters and stuff on top of the $$$ they've already paid for the original item. It would have been more impressive if they would just figure out how to prevent them from breaking/unravelling/ twice a yr but of course they won't.

    AirPods & the lighting connectors

the lighting head phone adaptor, I keep buying them, they only work for about six months. Worst thing apple did was to get rid of the little mike-hole on the phone. None of the high quality manufacturers are making their headphones with a lighting connector. I bought the apples wireless AirPods but battery does not last more than an 1 hr. max 2 hr. Not worth the money if you can not enjoy it or have to keep buying them. Their warranty also poor.
