    Great Headphones

    • Written by Jaise J from Ballarat

I got the beats solo 3 couple of months ago and I love them, love the battery life, how it looks and the way they connect is amazing I can easily switch between my iPhone iPad and Apple Watch. But the first time I put them on my ear they hurt soo badly for the first weak but after that it was perfectly fine. The only thing I don’t like about the headphone is how cheap it feels when I shake them it sounds so cheaply made and the buttons on the side also feel very cheap.

Received these with my MacBook and cannot wear them for more than 20 minutes without pain. Same issue with Beats Pro. Stick with Bose QC35.

Most uncomfortable headphones...I'd give 0 stars.

    • Written by Andrew H from Milton

I got my Beats free with my MacBook Pro in September. I actually rushed and bought the 13" pro because I needed a new set of headphones for work (I spend a lot of time on the phone with clients and candidates.) Had I known that these would induce headaches and pain on the side of my head, I'd have waited. As it is, I've bought QC 35 II's to use and I enjoy them every day.

These are defective, in my opinion. Pressure on your ears, the side of your head (especially if you wear glasses) and it doesn't matter if it's a kid that's wearing them; my son is 9 and my daughter is 7. Both suffered headaches after wearing these for a 30-minute episode of something on Netflix. I'm contacting Apple because, while I received them free as part of a promotion, there is no way they should retail for $329. I'm happy to spend the difference and get something else (Studio's? Pro's?) just as long as they don't hurt. I also feel I made a stupid decision buying the MacBook because I got $329 headphones with them...

    Good quality but painfully tight

    • Written by Angela S from Brookline

I think I have a pretty small head but even then these headphones are SO TIGHT. They practically pin your ears to the sides of your head and pinch your jaws. It's so uncomfortable, which is such a shame because they work well in terms of blocking out noise and delivering high quality sound. I want to stretch them out but I'm afraid to break them. It's frustrating that they're basically unusable.

    Incredible Headphones!

    • Written by Tyler H from Snowflake

I bought these about a year and a half ago and I use them at least once a day. I think that I’ve charged them maybe twice since then. They have an incredible battery life. I have a smaller head so I find they fit comfortably. They look great, they sound great and my favorite part is that they fold for easy storage. 10 out of 10 would recommend, well deserving of five stars.

    Super painful

    • Written by Brian P from OCALA

Really uncomfortable to wear. I have only worn them a handful of times because they give me a headache after wearing for only 30 mins. I wish i could have changed them out for a pair of over the ear instead of these on the ear ones. I had no idea there was a difference in style like that. all this money on headphones that I never wear.

    Not worth the money!!

    • Written by Vanessa M from Fredericton

Not worth buying these... they are cheaply made.
Mine lasted one year and 3 weeks (3 weeks after my year warrant ended).
The right earpiece stopped working... only the left sides plays music. Super irritating.
The cost to repare these is pretty much the same as buying a new pair....

Sound is Good but Ears in Pain!

    • Written by Grace D from BOSTON

I was so excited about these headphones and they really do have an amazingly long lasting battery. HOWEVER, I can only wear them 5-10 minutes before my ears are in too much pain. I tried everything to loosen them. Not possible. Will have to return and exchange for something else.

    Hurt ears!!!

    • Written by natalia H from grenoble

It is super tight!!! My ears hurt from the pressure 20 minutes using it. It’s a shame that it has 40 hours battery but it’s impossible to use it for even 40 minutes without hurting...

Nice sound, but it hurts my head.

I got these as a gift with my imac. I like the sound but they squeeze my head, which is extremely uncomfortable. I don't recommend.

Great sound, but they are so uncomfortable.

    • Written by Lindsay B from Overland PArk

I'm so glad that I didn't pay for these headphones. After just fifteen minutes of wearing them my ears hurt! Not because of volume but because of the vice like grip that these suckers have on my head. Super bummed that they hurt. For what they cost, you would think this wouldn't be an issue.

OMG these are horribly uncomfortable. Just got them and put them on for a few minutes. Had to take them off and it feels as if they're still on. I got them as a "free gift" (useless) when I purchased my new computer. I wonder if they will replace them with the other type of Beats bluetooth headphones. I wouldn't even try to sell these to an unsuspecting buyer.
    The sound was OK.

The headphone fit good on my head (have a big head), and the sound quality is good. The ear part of the headphones started to fall off.

    Too tight on the head

    • Written by Anil C from Seattle

I have been using this product for about a month now. Love the sound quality, the ease of switching from one Apple device to another and the physical buttons. But I absolutely hate the vice-like grip the headphones have on my ears. After about 30 minutes of using them, I keep moving them around every few minutes to ease the pain on my ears due to the pressure. I have a normal size head. Called Apple support and they asked me to take it to the store. At the store, they said they cannot do anything to fix the pressure and suggested I upgrade to the noise canceling headphones that were $100 more. I chose this headphone because I need a non-noise canceling headphones since I already have the Bose QC35 which I can wear for hours without any discomfort. I will keep looking for another way to fix this problem since I bought this more than 30 days ago.

    Horrible durability

    • Written by Leonardo O from Calgary

These headphones are badly constructed, it's plagued by an issue where one side will stop working.
Mine stopped working before the first year so I got them replaced but the replacement failed a few months later. Now the warranty period is over and Apple wants $169 to fix them!

There are lots of youtube videos showing how to fix this very common issue and it's not easy: you'll have to go through several layers with screws/tape and will need a soldering kit.

Huge disappointment, don't waste your money on headphones that won't last a year.

    Absolutely priceless for hard workouts!

    • Written by Paul C from Toulouse

I have been using these headphones for a long time with primary usage at the gym (weight lifting workouts). For me I appreciate the tighter fit as it helps keep the headphones on my head. As far as the sound is concerned I have nothing bad to say, they are loud with plenty of bass. Admittedly if you’re looking for headphones to listen to a fine tuned simphony these might not be for you. Build quality is robust so far and I can say I have abused mine. The foam pads are plenty comfortable but not sweat resistant thus for long term gym usage, expect to replace the foam pads (easy job for DIY).
The looks don’t disappoint, they are slick looking and with the black ones it’s difficult to see the logo, which gives them that “murderous” look when you hit the iron!

Okay , while it lasts !

So I was on a trip this summer ; and I bought my beats solo3’s with me . When I took them out for use , only the left side worked ! I reset them and watched a dozen videos on:YouTube to try to help . If you didn’t guess already NOTHING worked .
Very bad quality headphones and it is a huge regret that I bought these for the money they cost .

BUT , the overall sound is exceptional . However it doesn’t justify the price that we get these for .

I am overall very let down by these headphones and the overall A+ status they are held by in our society.
Don’t waste your money on the name alone you guys .

    Horrible fit

    • Written by FayePou S from Oakland

Why spend so much time on the quality of sound when you can barely wear the headphones? SUPER tight and feels like my brain is being squeezed. When I take it off, I instantly become dizzy and feel the blood rushing through my head again. Thank goodness I got this for free with purchasing my iMac because I don't know why anyone would be buying this! The least the company could do it allow more adjustment options- this is ridiculous.
