got it for my birthday gift , i was happy for first 10 minutes

    • Written by Sepand A from Lake forest

I got this Airpods for my birthday, I was so happy and I wish I could remain happy. the quality of the sound is perfect, it keeps charge enough. but can't keep it on for more than 10 minutes because my ears hurt. I thought my ears would be used to this if I use them daily, but unfortunately, that was not the case. as of today I just use it for 10 minutes and put them back in the case, wait for 10 minutes and put them back on, I wish apple would accept returning them after a month.

    Needs Adjustments

    • Written by Daniela C from Norwalk

I have bought airpod gen 1 and 2, i love this product but there is a HUGE set back. Both my gen 1 and the case to my gen 2( that had my gen 1 airpods in it) have gone missing. I have a feeling this is no coincidence however there is no way to track the airpods after 24hrs and it completely erases from find my iphone as if it never existed or paired to your account. My issue with it is that there is no way to track your airpods, see its last location or see if someone has already paired it to there acct, which makes airpods accessible to anyone. I have called apple to see if they can further assist but they could not track the airpods down or even tell me their last known location. Very upsetting

one side would just randomly disconnect, stops charging, stops working... takes many many many many many many many many many many many many resets to get it to work again... for $200 I expected quality ... this has been super inconvenient.

    AirPod 2nd generation Microphone

    • Written by Gabriel H from Lawrence

I’ve only had these 2nd generation AirPods for about 2 weeks and the microphone on both AirPods are already giving up. They don’t work well, if I want someone to hear me I have to manually set the microphone up to one AirPod and put that AirPod right in front of my mouth, sometimes that doesn’t work well either though. It also sounds like I’m very far away when I’m talking loud apparently.

    functional but annoying

    • Written by Dhaedra E from Houston

i’ve been hearing people ranting and raving about these stupid airpods for the longest, so i decided to buy some. honestly, the quality of them are super subpar for the price, they’re like basic earphones, but that’s not the problem. the problem is these things lOVE to disconnect out of nowhere, and its super annoying. when im out and i want to watch something, i don’t want to wrestle with something i spent 200 DOLLARS FOR JUST FOR THEM TO CONNECT. it takes endless attempts for them to connect sometimes, and when i finally get them to i lose interest bc i’ve wrestled with getting them to sync. also, they’ll slip out of your ear in a heartbeat, it’s seriously ridiculous. these things are overpriced and overhyped, and this is coming from a teenager (aka the people who overhype them the most). if you have perfectly functioning headphones, please just use those! don’t bother wasting your time with airpods. i honestly regret my purchase.

Not as it supposed to be,

    • Written by Shamsul A from North cheam

I had a lot interest to buy but after bought it I am very upset, when I drive I cannot redial to any number, my waze navigation volume sometimes very low, suddenly up. Don’t know this tried to fix same thing unless use both earbuds, the other thing can’t volume up or down while driving. They should put all this as it’s very expensive.

Bluetooth doesn't connect 60% of the time. Otherwise beautiful speakers.

    • Written by Kalle H from Freiburg

I couldn't help but write my first review here. The AirPods are great, but: bluetooth connectivity is a disaster. I would say that 60% of the time the AirPods simply don't connect on the first try. You have to switch bluetooth off and on again, or reset the AirPods. This is the case with all my devices - my MacBook Pro, my iPhoneX and the Apple Watch. To be honest, most of the time I'm just trying to pair them. It's not Apple's fault. Bluetooth is a slow and outdated communication standard. Otherwise the AirPods are beautifully designed with amazing sound and good battery life.

Great for everything unless you’re a runner

    • Written by Travis S from Louisville

I was so pumped to buy these. They connected easily, sounded pretty good, and the case was an awesome accessory. I then went to the gym. They stayed in while lifting weights, but with ANY TYPE of cardio, they’d fall out. I’d have to continuously push them in every 30 seconds. :( I ended up returning them and will probably go buy the wireless beats for $50 more.

    Good but not great

    • Written by Ritu S from Roseville

I love apple products, and I was really excited to try out my airpods when I first got them. To my surprise I was very disappointed in them. They have a unique shape and are easy to connect. I could ask Siri something without having to old down my off button or anything and the tapping features on the airpods also worked without any problems, but in the end they don’t live up to all the hype around them. I’m not trying to hate on Apple, but the sounds quality on my other headphones that are not Apple headphones are way louder than the airpods. I can put the volume up half way on my airpods and they won’t be as loud as my other headphone. I asked a bunch of my friends and family to listen to the different to see if it was just me, but they all ended up agreeing with my statement. I love you Apple, but I won’t recommend these to any friends or family unless the sound on the airpods improves or unless they have terrible headphones and it’s worth it for them to get the airpods.

    Lasted me a month

    • Written by Tom S from Bellevue

I recently bought the first generation Airpods at the apple store and I didn’t have the best experience from the start. When I went to go purchase my Airpods I was treated very rudely but was happy after that. I guess there better then the average earpiece but maybe not worth the price (I think my $40 PS4 head set is better). Then after under ONE MONTH the left airpod just stop working! I tried everything to try and fix it myself from resting them, turning off Bluetooth, shutting down my phone, and many more solutions I found online but still nothing. I’m just surprised that I paid so much money for this thing just to have it break (It could be worse but if I by something for that price I shouldn’t have to worry about it just quitting). Overall just don’t buy them there are better more helpful earphones out there.

    Bad, Frustrating, Disappointing

    • Written by Joanna M from Las Vegas

I was so excited to get my AirPods, I'm an active person and enjoy running and working out along with using them at work. However, since I've started using the AirPods, I've experienced several flaws and am left frustrating and disappointed.
-They constantly fall out of my ears while I'm running
-It's near to impossible to ever find out what the charge is at because it doesn't show up on my phone
-As I'm constantly trying to keep them in my ear, I tap the sides and it's voice control which is SO annoying because when I'm trying to run I don't want to call anyone.
-No way to turn the volume up on the AirPods.
-If the case has battery juice left and I pull my AirPods out and get the dead sound, how is that possible??? They were just charging in a case that is fully charged.

Long story short, I'm pretty disappointed and regret spending my money on this product.

I got these 2 days ago and they were working wonderfully at first. The first night I had them, music started to play out of only one ear in stead of both. No problem I thought, I’ll just reset them. And boy was I wrong. I followed the instructions and went to reset and was stuck in pairing mode for the whole night! The next morning I was about to return them and get my money back, but thought I should give them another chance. Sure enough, when I went to connect them, they connected. Great!! They worked perfectly the rest of the day. The third day comes and they are working just as well as the day before. The night comes and while I’m listening to music, the music pauses and plays again only coming out of one ear. Ok, I know what to do. Just reset them. Same problem as before, stuck in pairing mode!!!! I’m furious!! I plan on returning these as soon as possible. I might give the ones without a wireless case a try. My hopes are not high at all.

    Works great until it doesn't

    • Written by Zach B from Houston

Sounds ok and generally manages to capture that Apple magic as far as ease of use.

Lasted about a month, and then the left bud stopped being able to hold a charge.

    Not a good fit

    • Written by Andrew I from Fairfield

I really want to like these. The easy pairing and seamless transition between pulling them out of the case and having your music ready to listen is great. The same goes for things like using Siri, pulling one bud out to pause music and double tapping to skip tracks. I even like that some ambient noise is able to come in so that I can hear my surroundings. The problem, and an absolute deal breaker for me, is the fit for these is terrible. I tried so many ways of putting them in my ears, but they both slide out and practically fall out within 5 minutes every time. It's just impossible to keep them in and with that, they're pretty much unusable for me.

so i’ve had the airpods for about a month now and they won’t connect to my iphone 6. now it may be my phone but i don’t think it is because they worked prior to today. also don’t connect them to other devices besides apple products because they don’t usually work. will be taking them to apple store.

They don’t work with “find my iPhone”.

    • Written by Monica E from BROOKLYN

My original AirPods and iPads show offline but at least they are listed. These 2nd Generation AirPods will appear in “find my iPhone” for a short while in use but then will disappear. Let me reiterate, they don’t even show offline. They appear briefly under “find my iPhone” but disappear as though they don’t exist. This defeats the purpose if you’re trying to locate them. I prefer my originals. They have better sound and are lighter which allows them to stay put in the ears. I find the new version heavier which causes them to fall out easily and the volume is too low. I’m told by Apple CS that they will be replacing them however the replacements are out of stock so I will have to wait 3-4 weeks.. smh..not good!! I do like the “hey Siri” feature and that the case has the option of wireless charging but that is it.

I finally was able to find an Apple store with the wireless charger version of these new airpods. I used them for a few days and no matter what i tried, left ear bud was draining FAST. After an hour of being fully charged the right bud would be 85% while the left would be 12%. I tried everything they suggested to fix it, but eventually was declared defective. Unfortunately i had to return them. i'm going to have to wait to buy these when they're back in stock Mid-May.

The main problem may be Bluetooth

    • Written by Peter B from Tallahassee

Solid bass and good sound, assuming the devices connect.

Often doesn't connect. The source device for sound shows that the sound is playing on the AirPods. And, the Bluetooth settings shows that the AirPods, and only the AirPods are connected, but the sound isn't coming through the AirPods.

Occasionally, the sound will come through one of the earbuds, but not the other. The problem is usually resolved by shutting everything down and starting over, but the process is annoying.

The earbuds sometimes fall out. This is a major problem when walking or jogging, but not applicable if one is sitting in a chair, or even standing without moving around much.
