Find My iPhone Does NOT work with these!!!

    • Written by Gregory D from Thousand Oaks

This is the WORST Apple Product in years!!! They are so EXPENSIVE and when you lose them they are GONE! I misplaced my first pair and the "Find My iPhone" app was only able to place them in the last place they were used. So that was almost $200 bucks down the drain. THEN I purchased the newest version 2 months ago....thinking that Apple would have surely improved the tracking technology....WRONG! I have misplaced them a couple of times and have only been a few feet away yet "Find My iPhone" shows them MILES away AND the "Play a Sound" feature doesn't work either. They won't even connect to Bluetooth sitting 2 feet away. I guess I need to buy a "Tile Chip" to track them and actually play a sound when I misplace them? I DO NOT recommend AirPods at all!

Fully submerged my head in water while wearing these...

    • Written by Kristina G from Eden Prairie

Dropped them in rice for 48 hours and they work like a charm!
They are fabulous. I do pottery so i'm full of mud. I listen to books and music and when the phone rings all i have to do is wipe off a finger, double tap and answer the phone! WONDERFUL.
    Love these.

Please consider taking scotch tape, write your number and name on the tape..put it over the case and cover again with more tape to secure. My son dropped his case and it was RETURNED bc his name was on the case.

    Cheers.

    So close yet so far

The look and feel of this product is pure joy. Sometimes Apple just knock it out of the park and and they have with the airpod design, look and feel. They feel solid, the way they snap in to the case magnetically, the way the case snaps shut, the way when you opne the case lid near your phone the picture pops up on the screen showing you the battery level of both airpods and the case! The way when you put them in your ears the phone just hooks up to them automatically and the way the music stops when you take one of them out of your ear!

Sounds like a perfect product? well.... for me it isnt. The poor fit which some people just seem to be able to get away with didnt work for me, I dont understand why Apple dont provide some different types of ear tips that you can choose from? Every other earbud mnaufacturer and I mean EVERY other, give you an array of ear tips / buds to chhose from to try and ensure their product will work for every one. Apple seem to have gone with a "Well, it works for 65% of people so thats good enough for us".

The real downside to the fit its that they dont cancel out background noise. Im not talking about Active Noise Cancelling, Im talking about when ear buds expand in your ear and form a seal which blocks out back ground noise. Because they dont do that, you can hear so much external noise, you start to turn them up more and more to be able to enjoy your music without back ground noise but all you are doing is damaging your hearing.

If they'd included so changable ear buds / tips and made the case to fit them... these would have been the best True wireless earbuds on the planet. As its stands.... that title goes to the Jabra Elite Active 65t.

these are my first pair of AirPods! ,I've got big fingers and the AirPods could do with having anti slip coating on them as they are a bit slippy especially, if you have arthritis in your hands! i was quite impressed with the quality of the pods! and the sound aint to bad either! pity they don't do sound cancelling buds , for them! apart from those two faults ,i think they are worth the money!

Issues with Cutting Out when Active

    • Written by Richard K from Bloomington

The setup and use of the AirPods are great when you are in a stationary position like at your desk or relaxing on the couch and taking on the phone or listening to music. In fact, I truly enjoy them when I am relaxing. But the reason I bought the AirPods was to use when I am active including when I workout and when I am outside working on the lawn. Unfortunately they are simply horrible when active. They were cutting out every few minutes and sometimes with 30 seconds of silence. I have used the wireless Beats headphones for years with my iPhone X and never had any issue like this. I do not think replacing them would resolve the connection issue and I do enjoy them when not active so they are a keeper... just wish I could use them when being active.

Poor fit, sound quality and value for money

    • Written by Adrian B from Stratford

Replaced my old earpods for the latest Airpods given all the hype and positive reviews. Have had them for a few weeks now and still find the fit uncomfortable - constantly adjusting for best fit, especially the left bud. The sound quality is nowhere near as good as my old earpods that were a quarter of the price (not Apple) and noise reduction is badly needed, especially for London underground travellers. Already after a few weeks the shiny case is scuffed front and back even though carried on it's own in a coat pocket. (I did this as another reviewer mentioned the case scratching easily).
On the plus side do like the instant connection and the voice-activated Siri feature but these alone do not make the Airpods value for money. I did want to return but realised I was out of the very short 14-day return period.

    Best Investment Ever!

    • Written by Victoria R from Placentia

I am one to always read reviews and I hope this helps out! I was at first very skeptical about this product especially considering the price. Well now I've had the product for about 8 months so I feel like I could confidently write about them. I LOVE THEM! They are so easy to pair from my Macbook to my phone, the sound quality is great, and the battery lasts a lifetime. If you are looking for a good pair of wireless earbuds, these are your go to!

    Not worth it!

    • Written by Henry M from Singapore

I'm sadly surprised that Apple would create such bulky product!
not easy to handle, bad speaker sound, bad connection, easy to loose, battery not stable and not reliable .
I'm moved back to Jaybird the sound is X10 time better. I'm love apple product but this AirPods i strongly NOT recommended them.
    Hope this review helps

    Air Pods are garbage

    • Written by Caleb F from Hillsborough

The whole point of getting apple made air pods is so that they work seamlessly across different apple devices. Well they don't. They are buggy and switching must be done manually. I have headphones not made by apple that do this way better. And sound quality is mediocre at best.

When They Connect To What You Want Them To Connect To They Work Great

    • Written by Robert N from Jamul

My AirPods work great, sometimes. The sound quality to me is just slightly better than the old style wired headphones that come for free with iPhones, iPods (old style), and so on. Although a feature that is not on the wireless AirPods that you could do with the old wired ones is to take a photo or start the phone video by pushing the volume up or down.

The real issue with AirPods is bluetooth. My wife has an iPhone and iPad. Her AirPods work fine for her. I have an iPhone, iPad, two Mac Book Pros, Apple TV, remote speaker, large amp for stereo, all hooked to blue tooth, not to mention several Windows computers that also have blue tooth that are on sometimes.

Sometimes when I turn on Apple TV the AirPods hook up when I set them to do so manually and sometimes automatically. Sometimes they work well. Then other times they work for a while, then connect with another blue tooth device. Flip back and forth, and so on. Ditto with iPhone and my iPad.

My workaround is to mostly use my old wired headphones for the iPad and iPhone. Apple TV???? I mostly switch to the Roku box which has a phone connector on the remote and I plus my Bose headphones into that.

Blue tooth in it's correct state is unreliable for me. I have not even bothered to pair my iPhone to my current car because of problems with the interface.

    They're alright

    • Written by Derick C from Wilmington

They are alright, they never fit into my ears very well, and one day one happened to fall out and break and the replacement cost a whopping $73.49! With the price of these they should come with more of a warranty than stuff that the manufacture messed up on. We all make mistakes, if they're going to charge anything for a replacement, it should be a reasonable price, not almost half of what you payed for them!

    Amazing!

    • Written by MinJae K from CARSON

It feels like a magic. Simply connect by just opening the case. Long battery time and fast charge overcome wireless headphone's weakness. I think it worth more than $159. The Best product for Apple device.
