Minimalist design, will not appeal to many.

    • Written by Dan A from Oklahoma City

First and foremost the case is nice. I tried number of so called ....good as apples....... They were not. They may claim to have 102 magnets like this one......but not all magnets are created equal. I found that out with three cases I tried. All were far below the quality of this one. You get what you pay for.

Issue with pulling loose from back is real. If you open case and are not careful you might pull back off. Now this is not an easy maneuver. Yet it is possible. Magnets are strong and case works well while in stand mode. It stays closed.

I also use the pad and quill case.....great case but heavy. So as with my 11 inch iPad Pro I placed a strip of the ultra thin 3M tape that is used with the pad and quill. Solid. Impossible to pull back off unless I want it to. I go back and forth between the two cases. This 3M tape is reusable. Meaning that I just pull on back of iPad slowly and it separates from case. Then next time it’s right there ready to grab. You can buy this tape from there web site.

    Not comfortable in your hands

    • Written by John P from Santa Fe

The edges of the cover are sharp making it uncomfortable to hold. It's disappointing Apple doesn't offer better cases and covers. Apple should offer a smooth silicone protective back like an iPhone case, because holding the iPad Pro without the case is not much better and it exposes the camera when it's set down.

    Cute but useless

    • Written by staci M from Las Vegas

I had this case for 6 months. I liked the look and it seemed fine until I moved...after moving to a new place with tile, I set my iPad down (with the case) on the tile in the upright position and it cracked my screen! Now my iPad is ruined. I have never cracked or broken a screen on any phone or tablet before. This case is useless for protecting your iPad.

    Screen Cracked in One Week

    • Written by Morgan C from Tulsa

I bought a new iPad on Friday and bought this case along with the new iPad because I always like to stick with all Apple products. This case doesn't support the corners as it just magnetically attaches to the front and back. I went to grab my iPad for work and looked down (this was Thursday, 6 days after I purchased my iPad) and the 12.9" screen was cracked in 4 places. I would NOT recommend this case to protect a $1500 brand new tablet. I am not sure why I trusted it in the first place.

    I'm loving the case

Great design. I use it in both positions. I tried a bunch of other stands but this works the best for my workflow. Quality product which is what you expect from Apple. Definitely recommend this case.

Great front and back protection, but ridiculous price.

    • Written by Bryan J from Fairfield

I should start this by saying that in the wasteland of 3rd party case options, iPad Pro early adopters and even people buying now are at the mercy of a confused and limited market.

I usually stick with first party products, especially when it comes to my iPad(s) over the years. When Apple redesigned the Pro recently, there was literally nothing else on the market yet and hardly anything now.

As a portfolio, it is great protection for both the front and back of the iPad. I used to have to get two different products in other times, so that's a welcome improvement. The magnetic locking on it works very well so for those who are wary, rest assured.

Complaints, for me, are the materials. I've never been particularly fond of Apple's silicone stuff. It doesn't feel great in the hand like leather does and appears kind of "clinical" to me. For a tablet that is supposed to be personal, it makes me feel like it isn't mine.

I would have appreciated a leather offering that over time, gets character and more attractive the more it is handled. Also, the available colors are strangely limited, so if you're looking for expression, look elsewhere. They're bland.

Lastly, price. I get the impression that Apple was banking on the fact that the market would be slow to respond, like they do with any product redesign, in bring new products to market. In that way, Apple had a deadlock on people buying up this case. Even with front and back protection, $100 for a piece of plasticine that isn't even interesting is funky. Hopefully they rethink it for next time.

    `does. It hold up

    • Written by Walt P from Phoenix

Got the in November before thanksgiving, by Christmas the inside was delaminating and on the outside the cover was no longer smooth, looking more like snake skin in places. The Genius bar told be it was normal wear and. Tear, but could not show me any others exhibiting these issues. Now the outside cover now has a three inch diameter bubble, and growing, when the delamination is growing. Do not recommend.

    Love it!

    • Written by Brooke C from El Cajon

I just bought the iPad Pro and I always use apple cases for my iPhone. I was happy to see they made a pink sand color so all of my products match. It’s lightweight and easy to use. Mine doesn’t feel sharp like other reviewers stated. It protects the screen. It has a nice soft to the touch finish and it folds behind the iPad so it lays flat in my lap. I love it! I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a simple yet soft and classy case for the iPad.

    Fails in mostly flat position

    • Written by Ashley S from Preston

The cover works ok if the folded triangle support is used as a base with the iPad mostly upright, but if you use it to create a tilt at the top end of your iPad (an acute angle) the triangle will continually unfold itself. Why it has no ability to remain in-situ is beyond me. Completely and utterly not worth the hefty price tag.
