iPhone headphone output

Is Apple iPhone going to bring back a standard headphone jack? I would like to be able to use my OWN headphones . I do not use or like wireless headphones that you have to recharge. I would also like to be able to connect the audio out of my iPhone to an external speaker without having to deal with the lightening jack. $1000 for a phone is a bit too much if it's not user friendly. If Apple doesn't start becoming MORE USER FRIENDLY, I am out after this iPhone 8....

My iMac doesn't recognize Apogee Hype Mic or Plantronics headphones

Help please! I have a new Apogee Hype Mic, but my iMac (2017 Retina 5K 27") doesn't recognize it. I do see it listed in System Preferences as an Input option, but it sounds no different from iMac's built-in mic. Also, when I plug in my Plantronics headset, I can use *that* mic effectively, but I don't hear any sound through the Plantronics headphones , even though the headset is recognized in both input and output modes in System Preferences. Is the sound card in my iMac defective...

Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack

Why does it break so often and how can I stop it? My adapter is broken once again. I have not been doing anything that should ruin it. I keep my phone in my pocket, take out my adapter a few times a day, switch from headphones to a headset a once a day, and I only use a wireless charger. If I move the cord while it is in my phone, it will either pause my music, begin playing music (even when I haven’t opened Apple Music since I’ve restarted my phone), bring up voice control, speed up music...
