Zepp Tennis Sensor
Zepp Tennis Sensor
The Zepp Tennis training system consists of a motion sensor, racket mount, and mobile app for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that helps you capture and analyze your performance on the court. Just attach the sensor to the handle of any tennis racket and swing away to get instant feedback on your iOS device. Now you can track your matches and practice and get to know your game like never before.
Understand your game in an entirely new way
Now you can get instant feedback and measure your performance while you're playing. The Zepp sensor tracks shot type (serve, forehand, backhand, smash), power, spin (topspin, slice, flat) and your total court time and active time (rallying or playing points).
Practice with purpose and play your best
Whether you're playing a match or just hitting around, your practice should always have a plan and a purpose. Zepp paves the way for improvement by letting you see your game from different perspectives: Analyze your swing data, compare and share it with others, and track your progress over time. It reveals what you’re doing well, what you need to work on, and how to improve.
Measure how consistent you are by seeing where the ball is connecting with the racket. With the Sweet Spot indicator you get a visual breakdown of every shot. See your best and worst shots so you can practise more efficiently on areas that need the most improvement.
Understand how effective your match or practice sessions are with the Intensity measurement. Intensity factors in active time, total time and shot count to show you how hard you worked compared to your lifetime averages. Get more out of your matches and practice sessions by increasing your intensity.
3D Serve mode
See your serve instantly in 360 degrees from any angle in 3D Serve mode. Track your racket from start to finish and see at what point you’re making contact with the ball. Paired with the 3D visual you’ll see racket speed, potential ball speed, spin, backswing time and impact time serve metrics.

Does it work with Squash?

As tennis is different you can not get to much relevant information about your squash game. Forehand and backhand strokes are correctly indentified and counted, but, as natural for tennis, the serve is overestimated compared to squash, where you often use a softer (not weaker!) serve... You get a good overview about the amount of strikes over the game and how well you hit the ball with the sweet spot, but for squash the slice, topspin and flat strikes are of an much smaller effect and so the rewarding information is limited due to the difference between squash and tennis. A customized interface for squash instead of the tennis app would improve the information collected, but it is not to much likely that this will be available soon... I like the Zepp Tennis Sensor and use it for all my squash training sessions to count the amount of strikes I've done. (Usually 700 in one hour, solo 1000...1200 in one hour...)
