It cracked on the corners and I hadn't had it but a week. Apple did let me return it and I have the tech case now which was more but did not damage the screen and is made of different material.

      Disappointing... :(

I just purchased this case and two of the clips are cracked where they meet the cover. The top attachment won't even clip onto my laptop. The bottom is solid and it seems like this would have been a great product. Really bummed. Total waste of money. :(

      Do no purchase this case

I purchased my laptop less than a month ago and wanted to protect my investment so I bought the Incase for Macbook Pro 13" with Retina. The case started crackin I purchased my laptop less than a month ago and wanted to protect my investment so I bought the Incase for Macbook Pro 13" with Retina. The case started cracking within a few hours! I thought maybe I put it on wrong so I took it back to the store for an exchange and asked a store employee in putting it on. They had a difficult time putting it on as well. Once again, got home, it was already cracking at the sides. This should have been a clue. I went back to the Apple store a third time, once again I had another employee remove the old shell and put on a new one, this one started cracking just a tiny bit so I decided to put up with it. However, now a week later I notice a even bigger crack. There are only a couple other reviews, and they both say the same. The employees insisted they have never heard of this happening but this has got to be some sort of manufacturer's defect. I love Apple and figured even though this is not an Apple product that they would sell a product in their store that they would stand by. I am very disappointed. For $50 this is a terrible product. I hope Incase does the right thing and fixes their defect. Thank you.

Both have cracked at the corners yet we only use our MacBooks at home so they get very little travel and wear and tear. I shall be returning them to Apple as this is inexcusable poor quality for the price paid. I can not recommend anyone purchasing these at this poor quality.

Design or material defect - Case cracks at corners

After owning the black version of this case for 5 months I noticed a tiny crack about 5mm long that started from the Incase logo. The case has never been droppe After owning the black version of this case for 5 months I noticed a tiny crack about 5mm long that started from the Incase logo. The case has never been dropped, bumped or unduly stressed. Each day I noticed it was getting longer, travelling towards the edge of the case. I searched on the net and found these reviews and realised that corner cracking was far from unique. So I closely inspected it and found cracks had started near to 3 other corners . So I took it back to the Apple store today to complain. They tried to offer me a new replacement (same Incase model), but I declined, saying I believe the design or materials are faulty and, when I showed them these reviews, they agreed to a full refund. Very disappointing that such an expensive case should be so unfit for purpose.
