  • Overview

Using Apple HomeKit technology, the iDevices Switch is a connected plug that lets you control, monitor and schedule electronics throughout your home using your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and Siri voice commands. The iDevices Connected app makes it easy to control your iDevices Switch from wherever you are without logins or hubs. The Switch is great for lamps, fans, holiday lights, small heaters, electric fireplaces and much more.

    Simple setup

Installation and connecting to Wi-Fi is quick and easy with the iDevices Connected app and Apple HomeKit technology. There's no need for hubs or logins.

    Use Siri voice commands

The iDevices Switch responds to Siri, letting you control your home directly from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

    Create "scenes"

      Poor Product

I have 8 of the switch products. When they work, they work well. However the half life of working well for any given switch is 1-2 days. When it goes south, I have 8 of the switch products. When they work, they work well. However the half life of working well for any given switch is 1-2 days. When it goes south, you get a "No Response" message from the HomeKit app. Once this occurs, no amount of software attempts will restart it. You have to find the switch, unplug it from the wall, wait 30 seconds, and then plug ti back in. I have yet to go more than a single day before one of the switches goes into "No Response" mode. This results in effectively zero reliability, which is pretty much worthless. The rest of the house is still Insteon based, and those products continue to work well and be reliable. Maybe iDevices can find some solution, but without out, the entire lot is going back.

They lose their connection half the time

These are great when they work. But the problem is they return "no response" half the time. Making them useless.

Cannot get it setup in HomeKit

I’ve followed all the settings advice for the iDevices app and iCloud setup and ran thru the setup instructions. When I get to the point where it logs the device into the network it seems too work, with a flashing green light that lasts for a second which then turns off. The iDevices app then attempts to find accessories again and fails to do so. At this point I’m stuck. There no indication that the switch is available for HomeKit in either the iDevices app or the HomeKit app. And what’s worse yet, there’s no instructions on how to troubleshoot this other that to make sure the settings are set correctly. Note that I’ve reset my network routers, a pair of AirPort Extremes, and still this switch is not working. I have a Phillips Hue bridge and a Koogeek plug, both working on HomeKit. One more thing, I have the same problem with my EcoBee 3 thermostat so there’s a connection there somehow. Oh, and one last thing. I can see and ping the iDevices switch using the Net Analyzer app.

I use it to control a hot water recirculation pump. Homekit makes it super-easy to set up and program so it only comes on when someone is home. There is also a convenient manual switch on it in case you need to force it on when you do not have your iphone/iPad nearby. It is a really good value. It also includes a separately addressable night light.

      Waste of money

Wish I could return it. It only works with the iDevices app. None of the scenes I set up work. It only works when you are home and phone is connected to home Wi Wish I could return it. It only works with the iDevices app. None of the scenes I set up work. It only works when you are home and phone is connected to home WiFi. Will only work on set up phone. Every other phone can’t detect the device. Amazon’s Alexa Dot couldn’t detect the device either.
